Hmm...not far from Bill's house...perhaps make a 2(or 3)-day trip to get to this one? ;)

It's 45 minutes from my house. 60 when you factor in the top at Chik Fil A :)

But year Aaron, anyone who wants to attend from out of town is welcome at my house for either Chicago or Racine.

Depending on what time the Regionals start, may look at staying both Friday and Saturday night, since the tourney will be going 2 hours longer than it did last year. We'll see what time they start on Saturday.

Shaping up to be the biggest Regional yet!

I'm somewhat up in the air on being able to come. All depends on whether my car is fixed/replaced by next weekend. We'll see.

Check out Amtrack. Might be cheaper, easier and simpler in all honesty. Although probably requires taking off Friday to get up here in time, but once you get to Chicago, you walk to the other side of the station to hop a metra train that is about 10 minutes from my house :)

Hah! Interesting. Hadn't thought of that. There's actually an Amtrak train from Cincy to Chicago that would arrive in Chicago at 10am. Problem is....the only train going BACK to Cincinnati wouldn't get me home until 3AM WEDNESDAY morning. So THAT won't work, lol.

We'll see what happens. I'm hoping to have an answer, or at least know what's going on with my car by tomorrow.

Lisa doesn't want me leaving at 5am to get to Owensboro on Saturday (Friday I am taking her to Iron Man 2 and Dragon at the drive in). So she is trying to make me a deal, that we celebrate her birthday this weekend and then I can go to Racine instead next weekend.

Well, I didn't make it to Owensboro, so I have the green light to come to Racine.

Post subject:  Re: Racine,WI Regional

well, I was hoping to make this one, but the National Restaurant Association convention is in town this upcoming weekend - so it's all hands on deck for what is sure to be a busy few days. It sucks when I can't play minis when I want to, I really wanted to make this one. But at least I should make a bunch of money to make up for that fact.

Side note that I didn't think about there is parking in the back of the store. The store is not a restaurant anymore either.
