There are also short adventures in the back of some of the books that are great places for beginning GMs/players to break into the game with. Scum & Villiany and Clone Wars both have an adventure in the back and their is a KOTOR adventure availabe as a web enhancement from the WotC site. The adventures can probably be ran in a single session and pretty much tell everything you need to know about when to do what.

It's relatively cheap, and really does have a lot of nice basic info included right there for you. Otherwise, make sure you look at anything and everything Lackey's got to offer. He's the king of GMs as far as I'm concerned. Certainly no slight to any other GMs I've played with, as they done great too, but Lackey is amazing in terms of his organization and all the tools and stuff he's put together.

Dean,

The GM Screen does have a number of very useful charts in it that any GM can readily use. And the Screen is made from some nice hard cardboard, which is my particular desire in a GM Screen. Personally, I use two of of Star Wars GM Screens when I am running a game. I use a couple small binder clips to keep them together. This allows me to place my binder (which holds the adventure I am running) on the top of the screens without everything collapsing.

Some of the charts include:

Weapon Ranges
Actions (what is a swift, move, standard or full-round action)
Condition Track
Vehicle Actions
Vehicle Ranges (very important for those space battles!)
Force Powers
Experience Point Adwards
a number of skills commonly used often

It would definitely make a nice, inexpensive b-day gift - And Happy Birthday to you!!

Note to Lobo - Thanks for the very kind words, but that's not gonna get you outta the fire ;) I'm still going to roll the lucky dice for you

but anyways I ot the game screen and Darth Revan Mighty Mugg from the kids......

So I have one now.... yay me!!!!

Happy Birthday. I had to wish my mother the same as hers was Thursday. Of course, if I gave her a SW RPG Jedi Master Screen for a gift, I think she would have laminated and made it into a placemat.
