As many of you know at GenCon there will be a mystery map tournament again this year. The basic outline of the tournament is that you bring your squad and everyone is handed the same double sided map and those are the only two mas allowed in the tournament. At the end of the tournament everyone that played gets to keep their map But what if you are not going to GenCon but still want to get your hands on the mystery map used there? Follow this link. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1165033900/help-fund-the-swmgpa-mystery-map This is the only opportunity get the map if you are not going to GenCon and there are no plans to reprint these maps. Jedicartographer is creating the mystery map again this year. Currently his maps make up 7 of the 13 maps on the restricted map list. Even if this double sided map never makes the restricted list they will still be great maps for standard games, open games, or any sci-fi RPG. $10 for a double sided map is a great deal! |

Donating to this would ensure that you would have a map sent/handed to you OUTSIDE of the event at GenCon. The way I understand it, and Matt can correct me if I'm wrong, but if you donate to the Kickstarter AND play in the event at GenCon, you would end up with two maps. |

Organization will help us win. Mystery Map last year was a bit disorganized.. but this year: -all players will get a map (double sided) as a part of the entry fee into the tourny. Matt has already promised enough maps for that to work, and I'll be keep careful track of who is in it, and who has gotten in. (ie, start of the tournament, all players get a copy of the map, check off names on a list until everyone has one. Re:Lobo no, i think he's just saying that he has donated

Actually, I was posting in response to the question in the title of the thread. I made my donation, and thus, my map is guaranteed, lol. Didnt actually know there was a fiasco last year, but I guess its good to know its being handled better this year. PS: In case people need to know now, NO, I will not be at Gencon, so I would like my map shipped to me please. |

Plese keep in mind that i think it states that shipping will not happen till after Gencon as to not spoil the event. |

I figured as much. Wouldnt dream of requesting otherwise. I really wish I could make it. Id love to get to do the mystery map tourney, but alas, tis not in my financial future.

We'll be shipping the mystery maps on the Monday right after Gencon and we'll show them off online right after the tournament. I'll be at Gencon this year to help run the mystery map event and hopefully take some pictures of our work in use too. I also plan to have some of our other maps on hand for those of you who don't have them yet

I'm going to send 100-150 copies of the map to Gencon this year. We won't have the same problem as last year. That really sucked for everyone involved. You pay the gencon fee, and you get the map. honestly I haven't really figured out how to differentiate the people that pledge from the people who didn't pledge. I guess it's not a huge deal as long as everyone gets a map. I really wish I was going this year. Money is tight, and I want to save so Adventurers Atlas can get a booth the following year. so let me reiterate, everyon will get a map!

Well, I should hope that everyone who pledges should get a map IN ADDITION to the ones handed out for the Mystery Map event. Technically speaking SWMGamers.com, who will be running the events, should be buying said maps from Adventurer's Atlas in order to run the event. Or something like that. Talk to Ray and work out the specifics though. At least, that would be the most simple way of doing it. Everyone will have to buy a ticket for the Event anyways, and there won't be any way to differentiate on that end between who pledged on Kickstarter and who didn't. |

Just received my Mystery Maps in the mail today. w00+! Thanks guys. I really dig the visual style of the Sinkhole Landing Pad, though there's certainly nothing wrong with the Outlaw City either. |

Got mine today too. Very nice, indeed. I think the Sinkhole is probably one of the coolest maps out there. Hope I get a chance to play on it soon. |

Sink Hole is very cool indeed! Can't wait to try OC soon. Played a quick Epic duo on it tonight. Luke and Bane Djem So each other to death after Han and Talon go down.

It was interesting to watch the Mystery Map event in round 3 when everybody was confronted with the Sinkhole side. A lot of people weren't quite sure what to make of the layout as it's quite a bit different in feel than many of our other maps. The thing I especially liked was that everybody tried different advancement paths across the map, and each game had a showdown in a different place depending on the squads involved. This isn't usually the case with maps. |
