Ever wonder how well 200 points can do against 300 points, and it be a fair game? I invented a game which allows both to happen
Running the Gauntlet
2-4 Players
Player 1 gets a 200 point squad
Player 2 creates 3 separate 100 point squads
(if playing more than 2 players, other players create and control 100 point squads, still for a total of 3)
Player 1 starts in the middle of the map.
Markers are placed at 3 of the corners of the map, each marker representing one of the squads. Player 1 does not know which squad is represented at each marker.
As soon as Player 1 announces which squad he is attacking first, that squad is revealed. Once Player 1 defeats the first 100 point squad, which is the most likely scenario, he/she chooses the next marker, and that squad is revealed. However, all defeated characters and damage remain for the entire game. Play continues until Player 1 has defeated all squads, or is himself/herself defeated.
We played 2 simultaneous games. In my game, I was the defender, and I won quite well. In the other game, the "Runner" did a great job and defeated the 3 teams.
Tell me what you all think!
