Okay, the first part of season 3 has been fairly boring/bland. Yet, everything I hear about the Savage arc sounds like it really is awesome, and a great improvement.

And then this popped online:

http://insidetv.ew.com/2010/12/14/star- ... exclusive/

Looks like the season is really kicking into gear. I honestly don't know what to make of it. It is equal parts AWESOME (Evil looking Trandoshans, Commando Droids with Gungan Energy Shields, Even Piell/Saesee Tiin/Aayla) and WTF. Looks like some crazy stuff is being added to the galaxy, it's going to be a fun ride, hope it doesn't disapoint.

Ahsoka turns before Anakin. Interesting...
But how does she die?

My guess is Anakin is forced to kill her. Hence why she isn't spoken of in RotS and why Anakin is able to so cooly kill Dooku.

Brilliant!

Fairly early into the series to kill Ahsoka.

Well it doesn't have to be done now, as long as she stays a Sith, her fate is sealed.

I would actually like her to just abandon the order, only to be hunted down by Vader. Heroes on Both Sides sort of opened up that possibility. If she abandons the Jedi and the Republic to help the civillian Seps, based on Anakins reaction would be reason enough for her not to be mentioned. Maybe even opens up a bit of a rift between him and the council.

Her vs Vader is my greatest hope, as it would make a great epilogue to the series.

So are you hoping for some creative Transformers style Trailer editing? Transformers often switches eye colors in trailers to throw off the viewer as to whether the robot in question is Autobot or Decepticon. Ashoka's eyes were clearly yellow, I wouldn't be terribly upset if that's what they did. Most likely they'll combine the two ideas though, probably a la Anakin's fall. Remember the boy she was talking to in Heroes on Both Sides :)

I don't doubt something makes her go dark. Based on the veiny look, I think something takes control of her. But we will see. There is sooo much weirdness in that trailer, that anything is possible.

Just rewatched it. Didn't notice the veiny look before. Not unheard of for a Darksider but a little premature for someone who would have just turned.

My theory of why Ashoka turns against Anakin is this: Ashoka and Anakin were in a planet that had an area infused with a lot of Dark Side energy (like that area on Dagobah in Empire Strikes Back) and Ashoka wasn't strong enough to resist the darkness and gave into her anger and hatred. This makes a lot of sense given some of the very alien locales they are shown on in the trailer. I hope she doesn't die, since she is one of my favorite characters, but ulitmately this experience will change her character a lot if she manages to live. There might always be the temptation to give into the darkside in the future, and that would make for some really interesting storyline.

well it could have something to do with the nightsisters. one of them could be controlling her, its not the first time we have seen a jedi being controlled by something else (barriss)

She could become posessed by a Sith spirit. Thetrailer shows her being captured as well. Ashoka could get the whole beaten and tortured till she turns treatment that happened bastilla shan in KoTOR.
Also it seems that planet shown seems to react to both the light and dark sides of the force. I would guess that it has something to do with the balance of the force. With two avatars to represent each side
