Here's the last Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, Supreme Chancellor Valorum.

There's not much to the character that's important to the overall Star Wars story, except that he was voted out, so we decided to focus on that. Thus our new Special Ability: Vote of No Confidence.

We wanted to do more for Senate Guards and such, so we added Rapport and the CE. Reserves is pretty common for "leader" characters.

We modelled him on Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, and suggest you use that mini for this character, as well.

Anyway, let me know if it looks good or if it needs some tweaking.

I'd change his CE a bit because you could use Gree and him for 45 then fill it with cheap Jedi who now get Squad Firepower. Maybe change it to "Non-unique allies" or something to that effect?

Either way, he's pretty cool. I love that the Vote of No Confidence defeats him. Have to say, I'd love to see him costed at 30 points and have VoNC have a save of 16 (sort of like debating in the senate before he's fully tossed out?)

I think the CE is a little too much but i dont know. It does cost 53 points to give everyone a +10 damage boardwide. But yeah maybe rex with +10 damage is a little much. A good damage out putter other than Gen sky would kind of be nice up the cost maybe or change the CE to followers?
I think VOC needs to say at the end of the round or did you mean for him to die right away.

The CE isn't the best. I was considering Squad Cover or something that provided some defensive value, as he didn't do much in terms of prosecuting the war. Any suggestions?

How about one of the following:

You activate only 1 character each phase. (This includes Droid and Savage characters.)

This would be in character, but basically make him unplayable.

If this character has line of sight to an enemy at the start of a phase, you can choose to activate only 1 character in that phase. (This includes Droid and Savage characters.)
Make him a "Dodonna," so sacrificing him becomes much more of a choice.

Characters whose name contains Senate get +3 Attack if they do not move this turn
An added bonus for Senate Guard, Elite Senate Guard, and Senate Commandos. I like that Clones can't benefit, as the GAR didn't exist during Valorum's term.

Characters whose name contains Senate get +3 Defense
Simple. Boring.

Followers within 6 squares who combine fire grant +6 Attack instead of +4
Kind of useless, but not totally.

Each follower within 6 squares who has cover cannot be targeted by Accurate Shot unless it is the nearest enemy
Interesting. Definitely useful.

Maybe a bonus for diplomats?

Chancellor Valorum, a very good choice for a custom!

I just had a new thought:

Maybe something for Wounded Allied Commanders?

Perhaps combine that with your Rodian Black Sun Vigo CE? That could work

I like your Vote of No Confidence ability, but it seems backwards to me, since he was the one voted off,


As an alternate idea provide -4 to allies when defeated and than leave the more boosted CE as a reason to consider using him? Risk Vs Reward?

any thought to changing what number reserves is rolled on? maybe 14, or 12, or.. anything not already in play .. just to get so of the other numbers covered :)

Republic Reserves was already predetermined from Mon Mothma, can't change it now ;)

The idea is that once they voted him out, the Republic got new, more effective leadership. Thus the negatives to the enemy's stats. :r2line:
