A friend of mine painted me up an ARC Trooper Sniper in yellow-striped armor, so I thought he would make a good ARC Commander. My goal was to help the ARC Troopers from Clone Strike become a little more competitive:

ARC Trooper Commander (25pts.)

Hit Points-50
Defense-16
Attack-10
Damage-20

Special Abilities

Order 66
Grenades 20
Stealth
Twin Attack

Commander Effect

ARC Trooper followers within 6 squares gain Twin Attack


I based this figs stats off of Whorm Loathsome (20) and the Mandalorian Captain (23), and bumped it up a little for stealth.

Any suggestions?

As worded, you are also granting the ARC Trooper Sniper Twin, which I am pretty sure was not your intention.

I also thing he might be a tad too high in cost. Sure you based that off of two other figs that grant twin, but the twin you grant is (will be) far more restrictive. Your stats are overall weaker than the aforementioned commanders as well. I think you can sneak him in at around 22.

I'd change any instance of granting stuff to "characters named ARC Trooper" so it's more restrictive. And with that, I'd keep him the same cost but grand Rapport -2 and grant Squad Assault. As it stands I still wouldn't play ARC Troopers with this piece, that's why I think reducing the cost and granting something extra makes them much more playable.

I thought that if I went with "ARC Troopers" instead of "Characters whose name contains ARC Troopers," then I could exclude the Snipers. I'll reword it to make it more restrictive, as suggested by jedispyder.

Thanks for catching this, I am still struggling with wording a bit.

Interesting ideas. So you would grant Rapport -2 and Squad Assault in addition to twin then? If so, would the cost still remain at 25?
