I would drop the Combat Training and Target Practice, and Sniper Special Abilities, though. Remotes are designed to be a target, not to give bonuses.
I also would create a few new Special Ability. I'll call it, for the sake of argument, Superior Evade (This character can evade all attacks from adjacent enemies; save 11). This due to the size of the Remote -- It is a custom piece, after all.
I would add the Jolt Special Ability as well.
I like the idea of the bonuses as that is what you gain from your training with the remote. Nice idea.
