Alright, I have an amazing custom idea (I wont give it away so you can all be surprised when it's finished). Unfortunately, I thought my friend would be sending me the lightning I was going to use, but apparently he isn't. Does anyone have any ideas on either:
-Where I could get good lightning for customizing
or
-What mini has great lightning, so I can crop it and use it

Any advice would be great;

No, the Dooku from CS's lighting isn't projectile. It's more of a "Gauntlet" effect.

and that's what I was afraid of hearing. Unfortunately, I dont have 25 dollars to buy a mini and rip it apart like that. Any other suggestions? Thanks for trying though

I used the lightning from a battle droid Episode II action figure (supposed to be like its short circuiting or something), its the best lightning ive seen so far (besides existing minis) and you can bend it with IL's hot water method

You can make the lightning out of plastic packaging. Take a look at the lightning whip I did on my Lumiya.

The whip is made from clear plastic packaging that comes on almost everything anymore (blister pack). Cut out the general shape then heat it with a candle so you can twist and shape it, let cool and paint it with a clear wash. Be careful with the amount of heat you apply to the plastic though, it melts quickly and if it burns turns black. Only expose a small section of the plastic to the heat at a time to keep it manageable. I think it works rather well but I did burn my fingers from time to time.

I have tons of this lightning. It looks a lot better in person and is semi-translucent. I could trade them to for something, figs or bits.
