So in light of the recent release of TFU set, I thought I would go back and re-stat many of my Force-users. Well, here are the results:

The exile is a really cool idea. I take it he starts with 10 force points but has the empathetic restriction? He may be too powerful with Loda........maybe OR with affinity for the Sith could limit the abuse. :mrgreen:

Actually, she starts with no Force points at all. I designed her as a relatively low-cost Fringe Force-user that has possibilities for some nice synergy with other pieces (namely Traya).

I had considered other versions that were a little more restrictive faction-wise and a bit more individually powerful, but this was ultimately what I ended up going with.

There are some great ideas here. I really like the variations on Commander Effects you came up with.

I do think that Luke Rebel Hero is about 7-10 points too cheap.

With a Rebel Leader, and a collection of grunt support, he can win init, then surprise twin attack an adjacent enemy using combine fire on each shot for a total of 50 damage per hit. The way the rules are written, since its not a character's turn, Luke could Use the Force and Surprise Attack, especially if someone like Yoda of Dagobah is hanging around. I could see a squad like this being nigh unstoppable:

I also like the idea for the exile. Especially the wound in the force part. It has already been suggested, but I also think that the Exile should be OR, and have affinity for the sith cause of Traya.

I was always a little iffy about how to cost that Luke. He's supposed to represent the Endor version (like the other Rebel Heroes). So I made him light on defense with good hit-and-run style. Now as you pointed out, he is probably overpowered at his current cost with the synergy the Rebels now have access to. So upon reevaluating him I reduced his attack a bit, lowered his defense by one, replaced Twin with Double Attack, gave him Mobile Attack, and raised his cost slightly. Let me know if you still think there's anything unbalanced about him.


And as for the Exile, the main reason I ultimately went with Fringe is directly tied to the name of the character. She is The Exile because she was kicked out of the Jedi Order. She joined up with Revan to fight off the Mandalorians, but refused to follow him after he and his followers became Sith. So she isn't really accepted by either the OR or the Sith. Both sides see her as a threat, and have taken steps to eliminate her. So she is basically forced to travel with whatever allies she happens to find along the way. As far as Traya goes, it doesn't matter which faction The Exile is in, because she still has Affinity to be in the same squad.
