SA: Splash 20, Jump Jets(Useable only on this character's turn; this character gains Flight and Speed 10 for this round; after use, this character cannot use this ablilty for 1 round), Grenades 20

Trying to copy the BF II version. I wanted him to be realy strong dmg but weak HP/defense, like in the game. Named him Devastator since there is already DT Phase 2

Thanks for the comments! I hope to use the Dark Trooper coming out in TFU for the custom. I plan on moving his arms so he is holding the gun with both hands and put him on an acrylic rod for the Jump Jets.

I think you would need to add Heavy Weapon. For a non-unique, those aren't weak stats. Right now, it screams undercosted.

I was trying to make him have low HP/defense but extreme offense. Should I pitch grenades, or lower HP/defense?

EDIT: Or maybe i should lower stats to DMG:20 and add Arc Caster 10(If this character's attack hits, all characters up to 2 squares away from the target take 10 damage; save 11. If the attack misses, the target and all adjacent characters take 10 damage; save 11) Suggestions for a name to replace Arc Caster? Sithborg, what do you think of that? Better, worse?

80 HP and 18 Def is not low, especially since he is subject to all the Def boosters Imps have.

Well, I didnt want these guys to have droid, because they're elite stormies in DT armor. How do you propose I make them unaffected by CE's?

I'd say drop grenades, and give him this SA


Vounerable: Whenever this chracter takes damage from an attack, make a save of 11. If you fail the save, the attack becomes a critical hit.

thats makes this guy killable by a rebel trooper in 4 hits(if all saves are missed) I think that's a little too much. I was thinking of giving him the ability Spy(This character is not affected by CE's) Thought the word spy made sense. If your a spy, you dont want your teammates around you or the enemy might figure out who you are. That better? If I added this, I would keep the stats the way they are.

EDIT: Ok, a friend on the SWM database is making a DT like BF II, so this one wont be the one from BF II, ill have the background info up soon. Here's revised stats(droid!)

Devastator Class Dark Trooper (large)
Cost: 30
HP: 60
Def:17
Att:12
Dmg:20

SA: Droid, Triple Attack(double???), Speed 7, Seismic Wave(replaces attacks; all characters within 3 squares take 20 dmg, save 11 for 10 dmg)

I was inspired by the Empire at War DT phase 2, so I gave him triple but no heavy weapon(those guys are pretty mobile). I imagine the Devastators as 8 foot tall droids with an assault cannon. For those of you who have seen Transformers(the movie), in the opening part, when Blackout(the first bad robot you see) lets out that shock wave that obliterates like everything, thats what I was going for with this guy, on a smaller scale of course. What do you think of the new devastators?

Compare it to the Octupara or the new Repeater Cannon. This is even more undercosted than the first one.

Octupara was way overcosted and the new repeater cannon can get six attack at 30 dmg each with the rebels CE's. This guy doesnt get CE's is a LARGE without flight, wich makes mobility difficult. YOU compare him to Chewie, RH. This guy has the same defense and Chewie has 30 more HP. The only stat that different besides HP is attack, but chewie has momentum and all the Rebel's CEs. I also had double in parenthesis showing I wasnt sure which one to pick.

K, sithborg, hope your happy. I lowered his HP by 30 because I made a Devastator commander(human) who gives them Dark Armor. The guy costs 20 points, so he's not terribly cheap. This make you happy?

I missed Droid. It's a bit better.

As for the Repeater, it can get 6 attacks if you spend another 21 points. And it has Speed 1, a very painful penalty. It is still in the low 20's for cost. And I wouldn't call the Octupara overcosted either. Triple on ranged figs should be expensive or with some heavy drawbacks.

Why rigid? These guys can squish through cracks and stuff. They arnt like tanks, they can turn when they need to. Ok, i was thinking about the whole Devastator project, and Im thinking im gonna have whole new versions, like this guy will have a Incinerator, and the Mk. II (a larger version) which would cost 50 points and have a chargable plasma cannon. I have some sketches i can put up if you want to see, otherwise we can stick with this.
