The Dark Side Crew has revolutionized Star Wars Miniature customs!

Check out Darth Vader on Mustafar!

Image

Here's the best part: You can buy the miniature for this card and paint it up yourself!

Image

We found an artist who designs 3D models, then sells them via Shapeways, a site that "prints" 3D objects. We asked him to design a generic quadrapalegic burn victim with a cyborg arm, and here are the results!

Quadrapalegic burn victim with cyborg arm on a 1" base (recommended)

Quadrapalegic burn victim with cyborg arm on a 2" base

Quadrapalegic burn victim with cyborg arm with no base

Link to the artist's main page is HERE!

Disclaimer: THE DARK SIDE (our store) and everyone associated with it make NO money from the sale of the generic figure.

You can find our custom cards here:

DARK SIDE's Custom Minis Thread

Some cards have been updated recently after play testing, so check it out.

Oh wow, that's pretty awesome! Very cool that you found a place to make minis like that.

very neat, the interaction of Higher Ground is a bit odd.. How I read it is, characters adjacent to characters adjacent to Vader get +2 attack, not the characters adjacent to Vader.. is that right?

That's the way it reads to me as well...

Fixed. It's supposed to be a mod of Careful Shot.

I should clarify. The links are to actual miniatures "printed" in plastic, but they are 3D minis.

One layer at a time, a machine prints the 3D object in plastic, metal, resin...a whole range of materials. In fact, you can have the mini printed in metal on the site. It's your choice. We linked the plastic because it's the cheapest. I've got the first few ordered. I should have a painted version in a week or so.

So, basically you design the model via a computer program, in 3D, and you can have it manufactured individually for a lower cost than most unique minis are going online. Painting it is up to you. I have a guy here who paints minis professionally for $2 each.

We've got a version of an bird-like alien in monk's robes coming up next. Can anyone guess who that might resemble?

That's awesome! Looking forward to it.

I have a suggestion for the next one: A "fat, toad-like chieftain" :D

..a "bird-like warrior wielding huge dual blades" would really be cool as well.

EDIT: Wow i see that you already got your bird-like monk and space monk added, so i'll just go ahead and order all 3 figures. They look great! By all means, keep 'em coming :)

Keep the suggestions coming!

We've got a "dinosaur-like sentient" on the way.

And possibly a "space mercenary with t-visor helmet and laser sword."

We should have pics of a painted version of the DV on Mustafar soon. If you're interested, I can link to the guy who paints them. For a couple bucks each, he does a great job.

What about an extragalactic brain-like creature with tentacles?

Haha nice try, though i was thinking more like a Yammosk-like creature ;)

But if we get a Krang i would also like to have some "masked turtle/human hybrids on steroids wielding martial arts weapons"
