Here is my first try at making some models for "Destiny of the Force".

My intent is to make modifications that do the least amount of damage to the original sculpts and if possible make the modifications reversable or transferable to different sculpts in different boosters.

My first installment is the Imperial Scout Trooper Officer Conversion.

Things you will need:
- A scout trooper (Rebel Storm or Imperial Entanglements)
- 3mm hexagonal beads (6)
- 3mm bugle bead (shortest in packet)
- light-gauge stainless steel wire (I scavenged some from my bin of computer wires)
- Crazy Glue
- Cidadel Colour, Chaos Black paint (61-51)

I wired up the hexagonal beads so they were tightly bound along their side edges and wove a shoulder strap. I twisted, the two ends of the strap together, aplied some crazy glue, and then slid a 3mm hex bead over the end to provide a weight to hold the strap down against the model.

The "grenade bandoleer" is removable and can also be used on any figures who receives grenades from Commanders or from the Rodian Trader.

Next I took the bugle bead and pressed it onto the barrel of the Scout's pistol to simulate a silencer. I then painted the silencer and bandoleer chaos black.

DONE - Have a look...

This took all of an hour to do and now that I figured out how to weave the grenade bandoleers, I can pump them out much faster for my Rodian Traders and Black Sun pieces.

This is so clever! I like the idea and the execution. Well done.

I'm just trying to encourage more people to support DOTF and show that not all customs have to be a lot of work. Thanks bro...

Very good job!

But shouldn't those be Elite Scout Troopers?

I know it's wrong of me to think this but I want to do something similar (thanks for the inspiration) and have an Ewok posed in a begging, pleading position. It looks very Hitman-like in the presentation.

I hate the square bases of the A&E booster. Any Customs I do for DotF will be on round bases.

Well I posted instructions so guys like you could make your own so by all means proceed brother.

I am playing with a second pass on the bead-grenades. I plan to use black or gray glass because the paint is not sticking to the beads well and I want bandoleers that can be installed and removed painlessly without black paint getting on my white scout armor. This also applies to the Rodian Trader who will be carrying a few with him out on to the table. I am also trying to weave in a tiny seed bead on the tops of the grenades and inserting a bent staple into the grenade to simulate the firing spoon. If they work and look good, I will post progress. I am also trying to work on removable medpacs too.

I have a RPG scenario to prepare for Saturday but I promise to get some more work done on this project next week.

More to come... :scout:
