Post subject:  Bodyguard swarm
I'm sure someone has done this before, but I missed it.

Anyway, it seems like a knot of Bodyguards would be useful--not Twi'lek Bodyguards or Naboo Soldiers but guards that are decent attackers too.

Mistryl Shadow Guards
Bodyguard Droids
Mandalorians (with Ulic)

If you keep them all together, they can keep Bodyguarding for each other and distribute the damage around to make sure none of them actually die. Bodyguard droids are fearsome with Grievous SC and a BDO. The MSGs Paralysis would synergize well with Cunning Attack from Jabba CL and/or Advantageous Attack from Han RH or Lord Vader. Mandalorians might not have enough HP to really spread around much (unless you use Mandalore and/or a Basilisk--but to include Ulic too, you'd run out of points fast).

Actually, at 200 pts. Ulic with some Mando BladeMasters and SuperCommandoes you could do pretty well. ;)

BGD are awesome; I think the MSG and Ulic/mandos is over-rated. The BGD are so cheap and with +4 through Grievous and double they can dish out massive damage for their points.

im agreeing with punxbutter, i played (and played against) an ulic/BG squad. the blademasters are great, since they can parry attacks as well, but really, the mandos are designed for giving damage, not so much taking it. unless youre using war droids...

I think the Bodyguard Droids with Grievous, SC and a battle droid officer work great.
