OK, I have thought this through, and I can't figure out any rules that would prevent this from working:

Camaasi Nobles and a Force Spirit.

If you could somehow get some CE's that would allow the Camaasis to attack and do damage WITHOUT having to keep them in range of the commander, then if you slowly move your nobles around with the spirit, none of them can be targeted, and you can just kill your enemy, and there is nothing they can do to stop you (without taking out the commander, then it would just be a stalemate, somehow killing the spirit, or getting lucky with some abilities that don't mention 'target'). Here's why I think this would work:

The Nobles cannot be targeted if there is a non-Diplomat in Line of Sight.
The Jedi Spirit never counts as a target, but it doesn't mention that you can't have LOS to it.
If played right, there's nothing they can do!
If you see any problems, can you tell me, or if not, any ideas on some commanders to give damage to the nobles?

I'm not 100% sure how that interaction works, so it might be worth asking NickName to clarify whether Diplomat and a Force Spirit interact that way or not. The problem I run into is that, on almost every map, there is eventually a way that you can find LOS to only the diplomat. Plus, it's pretty hard to boost the Diplomats high enough that they are much of a thread. Against a squad like that, I'd like just run past all the Diplomats and go straight for your commanders. :P

well outside that there's been no ruling on a force spirit and Noble, at the moment yes Obi spirit would count as los, I would't be surprised if they admend to include him as Not counting for LOS either. After all he already Ignores all terrain. Cannot open doors. Cannot attack or be damaged, and does not count as a legal target. Does not provide cover.

wouldn't be much of a stretch to include something like "does not qualify as a visible target during line of sight" I mean he's a ghost! the idea behind him is the only person who can see him is whoever he's haunting. Other Force users can feel him around, but can't see him.

NOw as to the noble.. hehe great fun.. I personally enjoy using the Rodanian hunt master to give him Deadeye, yup, means once the noble's in gambit, he can sit there shooting (after all he dosn't have the melee ability) while long as your smart, no one can shoot back at him :D

Of course without some serious boosting, he won't hit much more then scrubs, but it'll annoy the crap out of your opponent.

Some commanders I have used with Nobles:

Jabba Crime Lord (always)

Tarfful
Mon Mothma
Captain Antilles

And most recently:
Thrawn
Nyna Calixte (she gives them +10 against Stealth characters)
Veers (was a fun squad, Accurate shooting, Cunning Nobles...)

I haven't tried yet, but will:
CorSec Officer

Calixte, and CorSec both allow them to make AOO's,which is usually important.

Check my wotc sig out for my Noble success.:) Last weekend I added Jaina Solo and Mara Jade Skywalker to their kill list...:D

This could be a problem.

How many nobles do you have? With enough you could make a sheer wall of nobles over 6 squares thick to protect that from happening.

That's what I was thinking. I don't have the required 24 nobles, but you could still effectively block anyone from getting within 6 without surrounding him.

Obviously there are lots of ways one could still stop this from working, but not many people would get lucky enough to have some of the very few effects that would work against this in a normal game. (Force Leap, some ability or FP that doesn't mention 'target', Force Reflect, Override, etc.)

Heh, if you play against somebody who doesn't have Override in their squad, you have a fairly non-competitive environment at your LGS. I think a squad like this could certainly be fun at a local level, but it won't compete with the top Meta squads. Character's like Lord Vader and Boba Fett BH will Force Leap/Fly right over your nobles. And as I pointed out at the beginning of the thread, it actually isn't THAT hard to get yourself to a point where you only have LOS to a Caamasi Noble. Especially if Obi-Wan is the only thing causing you problems.
