The rules -
500 pts. Normal faction rules apply. 16 characters maximum (though normal rules apply, so reinforcements and reserves let you break the number limit). No more than 3 commanders per squad. Only 200 pt. legal maps are legal for this.

The squad -
176 AT-ST x4
071 Lord Vader
062 Boba Fett, Bounty Hunter
054 Blizzard 1
044 Elite Stormtrooper x4
037 Grand Admiral Thrawn
027 Lobot
021 General Veers
008 Mas Amedda

Map: Rancor Pit

15 activations, 500 even

The idea is to let the AT-STs take the lead and then use the Elite Stormtroopers for clean-up. Boba BH and Lord Vader are the heavy hitters, obviously, and Boba hits for 60 when played correctly.

Lobot brings in whatever else is needed.

Holy Cow! (Play Cubs track).

Looks fearsome!

Only problem I see is if you run into a lot of beefy Force Users. Those AT-ST's could go down pretty quick.

I don't think 'beefy Force Users' will be much of, a problem if he uses boba correctly. Besides he has four AT-STs, I think he'll be fine.

Nice squad Boris!

You'd have to protect Blizz 1 well to make sure they don't drop the AT-ST's attacks early in the game. If I were facing this I'd be all about knocking that and then Boba immediately out. You'd have to see the opp squad to figure out the strategy, that's one of the really cool things about this format.

Um, Thrawn helps provide the ground clearance

I'm curious about the Elite Stormtrooper over the EVO...?

I couldn't fit them in since they're 2 points more.

But I have been thinking about "downgrading" BH to Merc and then swapping 2 ESTs for 2 Evos.

We are playing epic at the LGS for the first time this weekend, and this is probably the squad I will run. Any suggestions?

I swapped one AT-ST for an Uggernaught. Brought hardboard and won map roll all 3 games of the tournament. Using the new side rules, it really didn't matter. The AT-STs just dominated.

Lord Vader only made one set of attacks out of all 3 games. The Uggernaught just smashed everything in sight.

My only casualties were in games 2 and 3, when I lost 1 AT-ST each game. I had NO casualties game 1.
