Anyone know what the format for the WotC official release tourney for TFU will be?

Our store is advertising 2 boosters, even $50 entry, 100 pts squad. She's going to throw in her own prize support (which is usually pretty good.

I suggested 120 pts, 1 booster, and able to use the promo fig in your squad. I played a Universe Sealed Booster this way (but only 100 pts). That worked out pretty well. I just don't know how many are going to be willing to throw down $50 for a tourney. I will, but I'm a big sucker anyway. ;)

More than likely, it is 2 boosters, 100 pts. Though they changed the point cost around in A&E, it seems a bit weird they wouldn't in this set, when it looks like the pieces will be more expensive.

My LGS is running thier own the same as your place except its going to be $40 to play. Our BH sealed release game was $50 and that had a huge turnout.

I would think 150 points would be a better point amount. Seems like several of the figures we've seen so far are 50+ (since only one in A&E was 50+). Plus, with the Huge set, the Huges are typically higher point cost pieces (I would expect Luke's Landspeeder to be in the 40-50 range, as well as the AT-ST, and probably the Rancor). And it's been rumored that at least one piece in the set has a cost of 88 points. That would suck to pull that piece in one of your boosters, and then only have 12 points left to finish out your entire squad. That'd be like, 2 pieces.

If you're doing 2 boosters, I would definitely suggest 120 or 150 points. But which one will be best sort of depends on the average point costs for the rest of the figures we don't know yet.

Good points, Lobostele. I'm conferring with another guy in our group to see if he agrees that we should ask our LGS to change it to 120 or 150.

We are having an official release here, but we havent gotten any details on price or format. I would really like to see the full stats a day or two before hand so a rational number can be found.

I thought 100 was low too, but ours is scheduled as a sanctioned DCI limited game so I don't know if it can be changed.

Of course if you do pull that 88 point piece and he's even half as good as people think he's going to be you'd probably be able to wreck any limited 100 point squad.

It'll probably be 150 points at the LGS I go to.
