Monday night at our lgs we did a 125pt tournament that Im calling Favorite Set Booster Draft. It was supposed to be a makeshift version of a booster draft tourney, except each player could use whatever set they wanted.
So no faction restrictions, and all pieces in your squad must be from the same set. Those were the only special rules.
We had 11 players, and had a wide variety of sets, though IE was the most dominant w 4.
Two players went 3-0. One playing IE, using Luke Commando, Arica, Thrawn, and I dont remember what else. My wife was the other, using Legacy, wtih Cade, 2x Bothan Noble, Human Bodyguard, Luke FS, and a Twilek thing w Rangefinder.
I went 2-1 using BH w Boba BH, Jango BH and an AA. Had to play it, as the first tourney I ever won was with Boba, Jango, and a Geo Drone. Only got to Disintegrate one piece though
Just thought Id share. it turned out pretty well, and is probably something we will do again. Hope some of you guys like it enough to want to give it a shot.
