So Here in the centenial state we are looking at early may for our 2nd regional event. May 8, and 9th are the two dates being most scrutinized. We hope to have a date nailed down by the end of next week, but figured to get the word out and start spreading the news.

We had 16 last year, I hope we have the same amount if not more this year. I'm feeling positive that things will go well. So stay tuned, and be ready to have a blast.

I would sugest you nail it down before the 13th!

I'm in event planning myself and believe me, a LOT can happen in 2 weeks while you are 'trying to nail it down...'

We'll have it nailed down by the end of next week don't you worry. The FLGS just has to confirm a couple of things first before it can guarentee the date. THey host other events and games so I cna understand the need for the different empolyees to confirm on what events they are working to schedule or have already scheduled. And we are two months out so we still have some flexibility with time. It's not like we are planing this the way WOTC planned PAX.

I edited my OP to account for the change.

Okay so we did nail down the date, it's gonna be on Mothers day, sorry hubbies, it was the best we could do without it being in June. So Sunday May 9th, we start early. Hopefully we will have a good turnout. It would be a blast if we packed the house like last year, and thats for sure.

FYI, Sunday is the 9th. The 8th is Saturday. Just so you don't confuse people. And as long as you're holding it before June 12th, I don't see June being a problem. Hope you have a good turn out. We're having some Mother's day issues as well and our Regional is actually on Saturday!

June was considered but we decided to just go May. And I'm sorry to hear you're having Mother's Day Issues as well.
