Depending on when you do it, I may be interested. The wife has taken a trip with her mom to a sewing/quilting thing in late April the last couple years, so I might have a completely free Friday/Saturday in there. I'll stay tuned to see what your plans end up being. :)

Sounds like a great event. Keep us posted as to when (since we know the "where").

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend, but I believe several others from the local Owensboro crowd are planning to come.

Yeah it sounds like Dark_Jedi_21 and at least two others are planning on coming. In testing the waters for this event, some folks from Chicago and Michigan said they might come down for it. Some of the players around Indy said they might come up as well.

So I received a package in the mail yesterday from Mapmaker. It was the prize support he is donating to this event. Not only did he send two double side maps, but both are signed as well.

One map is what he was selling at Gencon. The Exodus-Class Heavy Courier Ship and the Offworld Shipping Center. While the other is his newest creation. The Swamp Caves and Desert Sanctum

Thank you mapmaker for donating to our casue. Check out his maps here http://www.mapsofmastery.com

I am not willing to come to this event by myself so if anyone from Chicago does go I am willing to go with if there is room in the car. Mid April might be bad for me since its during planting season but maybe planting season will start in mid march this year at least I can hope.

DarkDracul and I were able to chat a good bit over the weekend between rounds of the release tournaments here in IN. Things are all lined up for a great weekend of SWM in Kokomo.

Prizes, Prize, Prizes. Of course we will be giving away boosters as prizes, but we also have looked in our closests for stuff that SWM might like to have. Some of the prizes that we will have on hand are set posters from the last five to eight sets, two double sided maps donated by Mapmaker, Ultimate Mission Books, and more. Talk of a copy of the Star Wars Christmas episode also has been circulating.

The main prize for the 200 point tournament will be a case. As DarkDracul chatted he said he might be willing to let the winner choose the set he wants a case from. I think he will have three to choose from.

Also if you need single the store has lots and lots of singles.

The game plan is pretty straight forward.
Every one will be given a d20 to use during the tournaments.
Friday night Tile Wars 200 points $5 - Rules can be found at the following link. http://swmgamers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7032The 45 minute time will be enforced. I would imagine that we will play four rounds.

On Saturday squad registration will start at 9:30 and the tournament will start at 10am EST. We will play two rounds then break for an hour for lunch. Then at least another two rounds will be played to get a four person playoff. Maps will be restricted and the cost will be $15.

Starting around 8pm Saturday night there will be a Dynamic Dou tournament cost will be $5 and we will be using the standard map list.

As far as food and drink, there are several fast food places a few blocks away. The store has your typical gamer fare. Candy bars, chips and Soda will be availble.

There will also be shirts above on sale as well. The number of shirts are limited.

If you have any questions let me know.
