I finially got my case, and I ended up trading some older rares for durge. What I'm wondering about is:

1. Is durge competative at 100? What is the best support to use with him?
2. Is durge competative at 150? What would you use for support? San hill is definetly an option.
3. How does durge fair against shooter teams? (han cannon, speedy cannon, mandos ect)

I think Durge has a LOT of potential based on the games I played with him tonight, but against the most devastating squads, I don't know how he fares.

What do you think?

I think the T1 is his best friend. A triple attacker without accurate shot is just begging for a movement breaker. The T-1 can lift him 6 squares potencially, and provides a nice wall and melee figure as well that I think they almost have to go together.

I am not so sure San Hill is a great asset in this case, as odds are you will want to activate two at once with Durge - you know, lift and attack, or attack then lift, to keep that triple and regen 20 loop going :)

Durge plus the T1 was as far as I got in my thinking of how to use him for my 100 point tourny next week. Then I got distracted working on a backup squad I actually have all the pieces for in case the Durge I traded for doesn't get here in time. I should probably finish up the Durge squad so I can get it posted for critiqueing.

I've been thinking about the T-1. It's definetly a great asset.

San, I'm not so sure about. The only problem with using Durge+another shooter is that you are often stretched for points to bring in additional fodder. That's why San may have his uses still.

How about the other shooter though at 150? What else would it be great to bring in? I was thinking Boba, Merc with the T1 might be nice. Intuition, double/cunning, and lift out.

The T1 can only lift one per turn, bear that in mind. I think I like Aurra JH better, or perhaps Tyranus LOTDS for a melee shield.

The T1 is great for end of the round and early round strikes. You wait for your opponent to be finished, then swap to get LOS, then triple, and swap back. The only problem is that in order for Durge to NOT get demolished by mobile shooters, he needs to be swapped. The strength of San squads is that all of the figures are pretty mobile when it comes to shooting.

That's only one type of San squad.

There are many others that are just as competitive that do not rely on mobile.
