Cool idea, Dean. This Friday may not be exactly the best timing for it though. I would probably sign up, except that I'm hoping to be in an IMAX theather enjoying The Dark Knight that evening, and I'll be working during the day.

Hopefully, if you don't get enough response for this one, you'll try it again but on a different day!

I am definitely interested, and I'm not sure if you're aware, but Fool and I had talked at length about this sort of thing, so I'm excited to see it get kicked off.

I downloaded it and installed it, but I cant figure out how to actually play a game!!! I got frustrated with it and never tried again....maybe I should find a tutorial

....I wouldnt mind gettin some meta game on!!!

Go find Fool's article on the main page, it talks about how to actually do a game. Otherwise, just get on Vassal and track down somebody else on there, and ask them to help you with it. It's really quite simply.

OK, then Dean, count me in for now. We'll see what ends up happening over the weekend.

Since I am playing in my first tourney at Comic-Con (Dean, did I order in time for the t-shirts?) I am in for it. No DCI card, but hey, trial by fire is the best experience. I'll figure out my squad and send it in.

I was thinking that if you have everyone in the main Vassal chat room, and figure out who is playing who, then you post something like "the time is now X:XX, you have 1 hour and 15 minutes to finish your game. Go."

Then people can include that extra 15 minutes in terms of rolling for map, and set up and such. Make people work on actually doing those parts quickly as well. I don't know, maybe make it 1 hour and 20 minutes if you feel the need.

Still, sounds good to me. Just have to get permission from the wife to sit at the computer all night.

That would make it 9 EST, which is probably fine for me. Gives me enough time to eat dinner and such. Saturday should be good most of the day (would need to be done around 7pm) unless we decide to see Batman then (Friday night IMAX shows are sold out already, lol).
