My game was a slaughter against a poorly constructed Nyna SS squad. But After my game ended I got to watch most of my Fiance's match against Caleb (Both REALLY good players who won in the first round)

They were on Bespin, and Caleb retreated from the main hallway door taking the troop cart into a small room away near the rear of the hallway with 3 doors between himself and the gambit room. He moves his Bothan noble into the room and apparently opened the door leading to the landing pad area (but not the one in the hallway. Amanda had already put 20 on the troop cart earlier, she moves an ewok around the bothan to open a door. leaving a line of sight to the troop cart, but NOT to the bothan! She force pushed it with Luke doing 40, Caleb rolled for Cade 4!, Reroll 2! Then failed the save with the gonk. He conceded.

Round 3
My opponent played Thrawn Mas, Blizard scout 1, and an AT-ST with 2 ugs. I beat him only taking 60 damage to Aurra and 20 to Tyranus.

I then Watched JonB86 play Amanda for the Championship. He won a key initative so instead of Shaak Ti Killing Vader he got to disintegrate a full Hp Shaak Ti, Jedi Master. Amanda still managed to kill Vader, but the game was over.

All in All I wound up in third behind Amanda and Jonb86

Caleb wound up in 4th place going 2-1 with the Cade Squad.
Jon got Boba, Mercenary Commando
Amanda got Jariah Syn
I got an Imperial Knight
And Caleb came away with the other rare that I do not remember.

With 10 competitors it was a really fun night, it's just a shame that such good matches can be ruined by one incredibly unlickely dice roll. Crazy Luck in Carbondale.

Yea, but not everyone might play BBH in his area. There's better stuff to spend 10 points on when you have a MTB and don't see that piece too often.

Heh, I feel your pain Carl. I went 3-1 last Thursday night due to a Boba BH Disintegration on my full HP Han Scoundrel. 1) I couldn't win init to save my life in that game (lost 3 inits when I rolled 2 of them at 15+, and then the third one I still lost even when opponent rolled a 6). 2) First shot that Boba had the entire game was the 20. Even after that I still could've won but he won ANOTHER key init. That guy went on to get 2nd for the evening, playing the 1st place guy in the last game. I demolished the rest of my opponents, and would've really liked to have had a chance to play the #1 guy as well, but wasn't meant to be due to the dice I guess. Anything other than a 20 would've still won me that game.

We had one day a few months back where a guy (who, admittedly, doesn't play BBH that often, and doesn't win that often otherwise either) guy like 5 or 6 fairly key disintegrations over the course of 3 or 4 games. Was crazy.

The problem with trying to play with a BG is that you lose pretty much all the other options you might've ran in that squad. Running a BG to defend against a 5% chance at Disintegration....not worth it. Especially when in my case I usually roll those big 20's against stupid things like Ugnaughts anyways.

Congrats to your girl for taking second....tough break for her being crited by BBH!!!

Thats cool that not only your girl deals with minis, but she also plays, and by the sound of it she is pretty good!!!

To top it off she had only played with Leia and R2 before that night (aside from ewoks and ugs) It was her first tournament since April, and before that it was last summer since she had a chance to play. She looked at dodonna for the first time the night before, and also had never used the Shaak Ti, Han, or Luke. All in all her play was extremely impressive. What scares me is that she is getting better. She will start beating me better than the 50-50 ratio she is at now very soon.
