Well I attempted to host an Epic tournament, and 8 people showed up. Two of these players were really new to the game, and decided to play with a coach. With no prize support on the table, and basically a friendly enviornment, everyone agreed to allow them to do this.

That was my round 1 matchup, and I was able to defeat him in under 1 hour. however when I called time, the other 2 tables complained and refused to end their games, being as neither game had even one kill to credit on either side..... I said play for another 30 minutes, They played for another hour, because they wanted a clear cut winner. These were all close personal friends of mine, so I didn't want to end their fun, but nobody wants to play more than one game that lasts for more than 2 hours.... I was proud of my fiance who claimed a victory with her imperial knight squad:

I don't recall what else was in this squad, but I was proud of her because Amanda used her knights to set up a screen, and then poured in fire from Boba, Jango, And Aurra (mostly 40 damage shots, that the enemy was defenseless against)
