Just wanting to see what the preferred format is of the users on this forum. I understand that competitively people tend to focus on 150 because of the unofficial national championship. (Gencon Indy) and that event is 150 points. I understand that the main reason for that was mostly because of time constraints.

I prefer 150. 100 doesnt allow a lot of support while 200 gives lots of room. 150 gives enough points for a good synenergetic squad but doesnt make squad building simple

150, not just about the beats and it doesn't take as long as 200 (usually)

I like a little synergy and without having to spend an extra 20 min to pick a squad.

I really prefer 200 because the squad options and figures that can be played are so wide open. 150 is much better than it used to be, but in the end it is still restrictive. We just need more maps for 200 and its good to go.

I feel like there are so few viable squad concepts at 150. Because people have come up with really crazy perfectly tuned squads, if you play something other than one of those, you're likely to lose. I understand that for many people, trying to come up with a new competitive 150 squad is a fun challenge because your squad has to be almost perfect to compete, but I prefer the ability to play pretty much any faction and any piece fairly competitively at 200. There's just so much room for support, that even New Republic can play well at that point level. I, personally, don't notice 200 point games going any longer than 150 usually, but that's just me.

Gotta say, 200 is my favorite. I wouldn't say it's too much, because you ARE limited still, and many pieces cost a lot, so you still need to watch your pics. and it's not too little, because although you ARE limited, you have a wide array of minis to pick from

100 is my favoriate.

200 DCI is all about tempo control (or anti control). 5-8 turn in a game.
150 DCI is all about winning on Mustafar or the Arena. Games are at most 11 turns

100 DCI, sure someone can take door control (override or Ugos) but it's a higher percentage of their sqaud. Games are very fast. I'm not sure if I've even heard of a 100 DCI game going to time since Gambit was introduced.

At 100 you get to play more games. I like playing.

Something I have learned over time.
Luck factors in much more in lower point games.
If you are playing 100, those lucky criticals or unlucky misses mean much, much more than a 150 or 200 pt. game.
And that small, "Oops, didn't see that coming," is much more important at the smaller point games than the bigger ones. One mistake can cost you the game for sure.

Id probably have to say that 100 is my favorite, as it runs more quickly, and most of the time, has more simplicity to finding a decent squad. Also more enjoyable.

I do tend to have a problem building 100pt squads though because I'll build the core, and then look for the extra to add, and then keep adding and then wind up going 'screw it, Ill just make this a 200pt, instead of 100'

:P

I said 100. While running a small army in 150 or 200 is nice, it can get a little obnoxious. I like to keep the skirmishes smaller, and like posted above, 200 gets crazy with tempo control, massive grunt amounts, and a lot of CEs. 100 is simple, quick, and more intereting.

I seem to remember an older poll about this...

Like before I choose 100 points, almost any squad can win a 100 point tourney, it doesn't take that many minis, games are shorter (less slow play), the maps are very diverse, lots of variation.
