150 DCI tourney at Gateway 2007

Post subject:  150 DCI tourney at Gateway 2007
Ran a small tourney at Gateway 2007. No one came out with any of the top meta squads... top four squads were:

1st:
Mandalore the Indomitable
Mando Commander
Mando Soldier
Mando Soldier
Mando Warrior
Uggie
Human BFH


2nd:
Vader JH
Boba
Medical Droid



3rd:
Han ST
Wicket
IC
Leia HC
Vornskr
20 x Ewoks


4th:
Ulic Quel-Droma
ES22
Mando SuperCom
Mando Blademaster
Mando Warrior


The final match was a very very close one. Darth/Boba had carved up the 4th place squad and another Aurra/Boba squad on the way up taking no losses in either... while the Mandos had won close games for theirs. However, when the top two faced off, Mando had his evade on, and Boba didn't disintegrate him while shooting him several times. In the end, it came down to Boba alone vs. Mandalore and two warriors. Boba got the warriors, but the match was called on time and with Mandalore still up and significant gambit points on the Mandalorian side, the Mandos prevailed. Boba only had 30 points left, while Mandalore had 10.


For myself, I was pleased to see different squads, though I will admit Boba BH did show his brokeness... he disintegrated his counterpart and Aurra in back to back turns.
