I went 3-1 somehow in my first face to face tourney - thanks for all who played. I didn't keep great records, but its still fun to show what happened as best I remember.

My pulls -

Nomi
Deena
Human Scoundrel
Twilek Scout
Imperial Knight
Duros Scoudnrel
Old Rep Scout
Rodian Blaster for Hire
Old Rep Recruit
Gotal Merc
Noghri Commando
Trandoshan merc
Elite Rebel Commando
Galliance Scout

Out of that, I made:
Nomi
Elite Reb Commando
Noghri Commando
Gotal Merc
Old Rep Recruit
Trandoshan
Galactic Alliance Scout

First Round, vs Jon

His squad was virtually the same as mine, save he had Deliah, Deena and an Elite Vong and more shooting fodder instead of Nomi and Noghri.

We played chancellors, and I was able to abuse override and door gimmick. I was somehow able to keep deliah out using long distance overrides.

Jon was a fun player to be against, and we both had subpar sqauds. His pulls were really bad.

1-0

Second round, vs Mike

Mike said it was his 5th game, but he played well and I was glad to meet him. Same map, I kept losing map roll but everyone played on Chancellor'sStarship anyway. He had the vong trifecta - elite, JH and shaper, along with Jeriah Syn. We ended up playing a few rounds just having his 3 lined up against 1 doorof the gambit room, while trandoshan, noghri and Nomi. I kept the override closed, since those guys are BAD NEWS, until finally I got good enough position with my other fodder that I took the risk and opened it up. Noghri killed the Elite with his mad poison, and his JH wasn't able to kill the noghri back. Once his melee threats were gone, it was a matter of time.

2-0

Third Round,

I was totally overmatched, facing Boba and Luke Legacy. So on the second round I rushed his position. Still he won init and the 1's saved the day as Boba was not able to kill Nomi. The noghri took out Luke. Boba proceeded to miss at least 2 more shots in the coming rounds, and eventually he was left with Boba and I had 3 activations, so I pulled the cheesy manuever of locking myself in the gambit room.

3-0

Fourth Round, vs Bill

First time playing on a different map, and it was rancor pit. Bad news since I think I only can win with this pile using door control. Bill had Han, Lumiya and a Mando somethin'or'other to round out the three man team. I thought maybe I could win with activations, but it wasn't to be. Han is pretty good at kiling activations, but he rolled probably 5 1's. Lumiya, however, is a beast and thouroghly tromped me.

Bill was a great competitor, he kept reminding me to use my intuition even when I forgot.

3-1

All in all a good time.

It's great to hear you had a good time Dan. I still remember my first release tourny with fond memories.

Sounds good. You really can't loose in a release tournament. :saber:
