Well there were 9 players at our LGS on Saturday, but the judge forgot to schedule it as a sanctioned event LOL, so we just decided to play Dynamic Duo in order to get in some well-deserved RPG time.

I played what I have labeled "Dynamic Trio:"
Luke and Yoda
Chewbacca, Rebel Hero
Map: Cloud City (DCI version)

Round 1
I won map roll, and side roll. My opponent also had Luke and Yoda and Chewbacca. This was the most complicated game I have ever played. We were both having to keep up with number of times each Loda used Force, and how much was being gained and lost every round. At times it was almost comical. Example:

Me: Loda activates, gains 3 Force, attack Loda.
Opponent: Ok.
Me: 13, hit.
Opponent: Alter.
Me: 11, hit.
Opponent: Alter.
Me: 8, hit.
Opponent: Okay, that's 2, and I have 11 Force.
Me: I thought he had 8 Force because you cancelled last round.
Opponent: No, that was 2 rounds ago, and I gained it back.
Me: Umm, okay.
Opponent: How much Force does your Loda have?
Me: 8.
Opponent: How are you keeping up with me, you have been using Force more than I have.
Me: And I'm 3 behind you, so not so much.
Opponent: Hmmm. Where were we?
Me: I'm confused, too. You altered twice I think.
Opponent: Right, okay and you hit. Go ahead and Twin.
Me: 4, reroll.
Opponent: Cancel.
Me: Cancel your cancel.
Opponent: Doh!
Me: 19, hit.
Opponent: My turn?
Me:Yep.
Opponent: Okay I'm up to, umm, 9.
Me: Okay.
(Repeat process from alternate viewpoints.)

It was a close game that came almost completely down to dice rolls. My opponent made a couple of mistakes, including letting me cancel his Force Push when he could have cancelled my cancel - twice, and still had plenty of Force. Winning initiatives at the end of the game were helpful too.

1-0.

Round 2:
I again won map roll and side roll. My opponent had Snowspeeder and Boba BH. Since it wasn't DCI, I was nice and let him set up his Snowspeeder where he could actually use it. I took the side closer to the Carbonite chamber, which in a DCI game would have left his Snowspeeder trapped in the Visitor's Center, since it can't squeeze through 1-square doors.

I had my people in the turbolift close to the Gambit section (we had to play Gambit rules because we have slow players) and he couldn't get both Boba and the Snowspeeder close enough to get both doors open without being in range of a series of twin attacks from Loda. So he conceded.

2-0

Round 3.
My opponent also had Cloud City this round, so we just rolled for sides. I lost and had to set up in the Visitor Center. Using a Felucian on Rancor and Redeemed Apprentice, he almost pushed my Loda into the pit but thank God for Master of the Force 3. It took me 4 tries to roll higher than 11, including the original save.
I continued to push the Rancor and then momentum with Chewie until it was dead. Then I ran around the corner for the safety of the turbolift, and waited for him to bring the Apprentice to me. Victory was short and sweet.

3-0

I'm not sure what else was being played. There was another Boba BH team (with Obi-Wan), but that's all I remember.

The entire event took less than 90 minutes, although 1 game (out of all of the ones being played, not just mine) went to time.

I know how crazy the force gains/uses were from the time I played him. I shudder to think what it would be like in a mirror match.

Yeah, and that was just the dialogue! What I didn't mention is that we were each using both hands to count to 3 for the number of times Force was used each turn! :lsfight:

That's brilliant man, really. Good stuff. Loda can be confusing with just one on the table, never mind two fighting against each other.

Quick question though, with Force Defense, can you negate re-rolls of a die using a force point? I thought Force Defense only negates Force powers written on the card, or does a re-roll count as a power as well? Just curious, since something similar came up in one of my games.

Re-rolling and moving two extra squares are general force powers, as explained in the rulebook, and can be cancelled.
