What looks like its becoming a Boxing Day tradition...

Once again ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages. Allow me to direct your attention to the center ring for the third annual WNY SWM event known as FrostyCon!!!

When: February 21st-23rd, 2014
Where: Buffalo and Rochester, NY

The Events....

Feb 21st: The Triumphant Return of the Friday Night Follies @ Chez Nader, 8pm-???

King of the Ring (using a variant of the NZ Battle Royale rulz)
200 pts constructed, faction rules apply for your best four character team. Up for grabs will be the ray shielded trophy ring created for FC 2014 by Pastor Budwine. As the winner of this event last year, I will strike down with great vengeance and furious anger those who would seek to covet my trophy! :twisted:

Feb 22nd: The Main Event @ Pair-A-Dice in Rochester, NY, 10am-6pm

200 point constructed - Restricted Map
All v-sets through A&O (provided the cards/pdf's are available b4 the event) are valid with standard floor rules in effect at the time of the event.


Feb 22nd: Epic 500 Challenge, location back at Chez Nader 9pm-???

500 point constructed (squad may only contain one Epic character)
All v-sets through A&O are valid, including BHC.
Gambit can only be gained by the Epic piece and will be worth 75pts.
(16) activations and (3) CE limits will be in play, please note the YWC's ability will count towards against the CE limit.
75 min rounds.
ABM shall only be in effect until the end of the round in which it was activated and will cost 4 FP's to initiate.

Feb 23rd: 100 X-Wing Event @ Pair-A-Dice in Rochester, NY, 11am-5pm

100 point constructed with all legal pieces, must have cards no proxies as we'll be using the FFG sanctioned tourney rules. Fabulous prize support aleady obtained, example... 1st place takes home the Boba Fett promo card.

One note the only uncertainty to this year's line up would be the swapping of 200 Constructed and X-wing, as the field size for x-wing could be in access of 20. This would force me to move it to the Saturday time slot and we'd hold the SWM 200 at my house on Sunday morning.

As per usual custom my home will be open to those wayward travelers willing to brave the frigid WNY conditions in February. Please contact me via PM, as space goes quick.

Hope to see many of the familiar supporting cast back in 2014!

I hope I can make it the weekend of the 23rd. I'll see if I can switch things around. But if there is any possible way for me to make it work, then you can count on me!

Sweet mothers of invention this sounds better and better all the time.

Put me down as 65/35 to come. Just need to figure out some travel arrangements. It's a long drive from Wisco!

Shawn its gonna be a scene man! Here's a thought, it may just be less expensive to fly via SW to Buffalo. I will provide transport to and fro the airport.

TINT had mentioned to me that the previous weekend 2/14-2/16 looked better for him and I have no issues with that but I cautioned that Friday night is Valentine's Day. Which is why I moved FC to the 21st. To be honest I like the 14-17 because we get the Pres Day holiday on Monday. If there is enough ground swell, I will certainly rearrange the dates with P-a-D in Rochester.

This is indeed good news Trevor! I've also heard that Galactic Funk and Chargers may be making the trip from WI. My advice as you know from past events is to pack the bedroll etc... but consider your request booked at Chez Russell.

Once I confirm the dates with the LGS, I will get the full lineup and details posted.

Kris and I (the AFM Team) are gonna try to make it up there. We may not make it up there until the night of the 21st, but we'll see.

I am planning on being there for the 22nd, and if my son's work schedule permits, with Kris as well. I may try and drive up the 21st, arriving 11-1ish. Is there room for me to crash if I do that?

Hell yes there will be room. We'll figure the logistics out when everyone confirms. Looks like the Mrs is going to Dagobah for the weekend leaving Chez Russell to our insanity.

I'd love to, but not gonna happen. That was a "green with envy" post.

I'll be doing great if I make it to any regionals in the central zone... :(
