Really curious about this. Where might I find the NZ Battle Royale rulz?

WOW! I have never read Save 11 before. It is FANTASTIC! Very professional. I am impressed.

I'm glad you referred to it as Battle Royale (with your version being King of the Ring), because (*ahem*) we already have ROYAL RUMBLE. ;)

So obviously the big differences right off the bat from the NZ version are exactly 4 characters and factions rules apply. What other differences might there be?

It does sound like a lot of fun, but it's hard not to think of how HUGE when your characters are drawn has an effect on things. If your 4 characters were drawn last it would almost be impossible NOT to win.

In a way that's good though. Let the heavy competition take place on Saturday, and just have some good old fashioned fun on Friday night!

I agree the save11 publication is first rate, with excellent content but where's the next issue?

The format is truly a luck of the draw, depending on the number of players I'd like four to a ring. Then I'll have the player's name and piece #1-4 and we'll draw randomly out of a hat. Each round a different player will select the next combatant to join the frenzy.

Last player standing gets an auto to the next round regardless of points scored. So if eight players there'd be two rings with four advancing, then four down to the last two. Winner will be crowned 2013's FrostyCon "King of the Ring."

I really liked that DarthMalus told us about this last year at the Friday Night Follies. We had a great time with it and Friday should be for light spirited gaming, as Saturday will be take no prisoners to be sure.
