Like TINT, I'd love to come. I definately can't make Sunday, and Saturday is problematic right now, but I'll see if I can make it work. I wanted to post to let you know I was thinking about it.

Yeah, same for me: I'm a guaranteed No for Sunday, but I'll do my best to make Saturday work.

Jim/Trev it would be great to see both of you at the event, even if its only on Saturday! I have a really good feeling that we'll see some of the crew from NoVA and OH in attendance as well. I didn't want to delay getting the word out on the street; so as to give as much lead-time for everyone to hopefully be able to swing both days.

All the best!

A couple of procedural items, as it pertains to the Epic 500 on Saturday only....

First we will be using a 3/2/1 scoring system, where the full 3 points are awarded for either a concession or the winner eliminates 300 pts or > during the match. A single point will be awarded to the vanquished, should they eliminate 250 pts or > during matchplay.

Second, the following additional maps will be allowed (Remote Listening Post, Commercial Spaceport, Sinkhole Landing Pad & Outlaw City). Oh and good news, the FX blades arrived safe and sound and await the victor or victors... :maul:

I'm in for Sunday. I'll see you fools there. Any word from @Jester007? I owe him a drink or two.

Edit: Wait a second. You're allowing that shoot-happy sinkhole map? Someone's a bit fond of that map, aren't they, @DarphNader? I'd totally pick that for my 500 map if I was coming Saturday. I'll have to look that map again.

@ captaingig... No word from Jester007 thus far, seems to have temporarily gone to ground recently. As far as Sinkhole Landing, tis true that I am a bit partial to said map. Hopefully we will see a revised "restricted" list with it making the cut.

Trevor your presence will certainly be missed, perhaps the situation may change. My fingers are crossed that we are going to have a great two days in Rochester.

Here's a thought, the new Episode 1 in 3D will be released on 2/10. Perhaps we then head out to catch it, after we wrap up the Epic 500 on Saturday night? Somehow fitting given the top prizes.

Well scrub that idea, as the PM 3D is only a one day release set for 2/10. Uugh! :x

Well, I'm bummed. But it's great having you down here so we can get together a few times in the year. Maybe in an upcoming regional somewhere...?

Yes, I plan/hope to be at one or two of the regionals in the area. Do you know where they're held? The thing is that I'm a pastor and so I have to be back home at a decent time on Saturday night in order to preach on Sunday mornings. If it's too far away (5hrs drive is definitely too far), I really can't make it work.

Post subject:  Re: FrostyCon 2012 – February 18th & 19th

Stopped in at Millennium yesterday and we are all set for our SWM weekend. One change though, we will be housed in the old shop on Sunday, as they have a 150 person Yi-Gi-Oh regional event. So good news, we'll have plenty of room on both days. The new shop has a wide selection of drinks and snacks on hand, so that is an added bonus.

Per SHNN and recent posts here on swmgamers, the cards sets are in bound, so the last piece of the prize support will be on-hand. Remember to pull down the PDF as soon as it's available, since Vengeance & Cantina will be in play for FrostyCon. :vader2:

Great news! All of the prize support has arrived and we are a go for launch. A very special shout out & thanks to our friends urbanjedi and engineer in MI! The generous donations of a few extra v-sets and now copies of the Cantina maps are a fantastic complement to the first place prizes. Thank you both once again!

I'll be posting some prize support pix shortly.

Interesting...things have shifted on that weekend over here, and so I might be able to attend for the whole weekend!

I'm currently in negotiation processes with my wife; I'm asking her to remove her trade blockade, citing it as illegal and unprovoked. But at least our communications haven't been cut...that could mean only one thing: invasion.

I have secretly dispatched some jedi negotiators, though. The negotiations will not fail...as long as they take place.

[Seriously though, my wife is amazing, and she's pretty positive about the idea...she's thinking of driving up with me and taking the kids to a local children's museum of some sort....I just couldn't resist a perfect Episode I reference opportunity!]

That is pretty wizard news Trev!!!

I'm staying in Roch Saturday and have roommate capacity, so if the negotiations do not fail you're covered for a place to flop. Fingers crossed!

Ill be in Syracuse that week filming a wedding that Friday for my pastors son. There is a small chance I can come out. Its more like 40%. But Ill bring a small box with minis on the trip. I have access to a car the problem is if I have other things going on that day. I leave Monday so odds are I wont want to play Sunday.

If your family comes along though, might be a bit cramped. ;-)

Seriously though let your wife know that the Strong Museum of Play is in downtown Rochester. I've taken my lads there on many occasions then there is the Corning glass museum and the Planetarium in Roch are great as well. Lots to do and great places to eat.
