Yes, I am Rainman.

But actually, I just remembered (when I went to book this into my schedule) that I have to officiate a wedding on Friday night, so I likely won't be able to come at all...11 hours of driving for 7 hours of minis...it's just not a great deal that way. Bummer, because I was getting super-excited about it too. I hope you guys do this again, because I'll schedule it in right away. I hope y'all have a blast!

Well, I'll try and make sure you leave with something awesome then. If you need directions to the place, don't hesitate to ask drkjedi35, Darth Malus or myself. We are really hoping for a good turn out so that we can do this again next year for you all.

On a serious note, I do have a question: Will the Epic Duos be run as a "semi sealed" event like it was at GenCon or more like "constructed" event?

I'm starting to get really excited about this event! I just updated the first post to show that we will be running tournaments for 3 days. I hope we can get a good turnout for each event. This weekend we will finalize the format for the Sunday tournament and update the thread.

We have been hard at work for the last couple of months working on quality customs for R&R, BoT, and EPICs to give away at the tournaments. I have seen most of them, and they are look great! Kris Soenhlin (DarthMalus), Ian Gordon (jester007), Marcous Morton, jak, and myself are all donating figures. We even have a Terentatek coming from Abiwan. If you haven't seen it, check out this link (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=12591). I'm going to be making a thread over the weekend where we will be posting all of the customs that we have done so far so that you guys can see what we've been up to and what you'll be playing for.

Ian has also commissioned Brent Woodside to make a one-of-a-kind Darth Bane print to give away. He did a licensed print for Star Wars Celebration V last year, as well as quite a bit of D&D type artwork. I have seen some of his stuff, so I expect this to be an amazing print! Brent said he would send us some pics of his progress, and we will also be posting those when we get them. If you want to see some of his work, check out his website here. These are just some of the things we'll be giving away over the weekend. Hopefully we have a big enough turnout to give everything away. Our goal is to make this an annual event. But its up to you guys. Let us know if you have any more questions and we'll do the best we can to answer them quickly.

Captaingig and I are definitely go for Fri and Sat, maybe Sun if it's an AM start.

@ thereisnotry, Trevor look forward to meeting up with again after the Ontario regional. I've pinged Ruhk to see if any of the CA crew are interested in carpooling down from WNY. Have you heard anything from them on this event?

Alas, as I said, I won't be able to make it this year. Hopefully next year, though...I'll make plans several months in advance.

And I've moved to NJ since the Ontario regional, so unless Ruhk finds himself 8 hours from home on that weekend (ie, visiting me at my new house), I really doubt that he'd be able to come anyway.

The Sunday tournament will be a 300pt EPIC Fantastic Four Tournament. Your squad must contain exactly 1 EPIC and 3 other figures not to exceed 300pts. I updated the first post in the thread to reflect this.

Love the customs, Rohm Moc & Mara look especially cool!!! On another note, will the new Outlaw City & Sinkhole Landing Pad maps be available for tourney selection?

We will only be allowing maps on the Restricted List from the most current Floor Rules.

Update on the Brent Woodside prints - We have 2 exclusive signed framed Bane prints, 5 signed Celebration V prints, and 2 signed Celebration Europe prints. The Bane print is in one of my posts above. The other prints are below! We will be giving ALL of them away during the WAMPA Stompa tournaments!

Also, if anyone is looking to do any trading, I'll be bringing along all my trades. Got to try and unload some of these extra pieces so I can finish up my collection. Still got a ways to go! :mrgreen:
