--Kota Swap--
55 Master Kota
28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler
23 Captain Panaka
23 Jarael
21 The Dark Woman
15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
8 Mas Amedda
8 R7 Astromech Droid
5 Caamasi Noble
5 Rodian Diplomat

(200pts. 11 activations)

Okay, I just got kota and have played around with him a bit and I love the idea of using his CE and his Repulse. The best way I could think to use his Repulse was in a swap squad. Jareal and the Dark Woman are swap fodder and hitters. Jareal and Dash use his CE well.

I like the idea of using Jarael and TDW along with Kota. TDW can use Tutor to give Kota an extra FP to start with, and let you do Repulse a bit sooner. Being able to Phase through a wall to help set up for a Repulse could work pretty well. I wouldn't expect this to win any major competitions, but it should run fairly well. The biggest problem is that it takes you 3 activations to use Repulse for the most part. Gotta either run Jarael or TDW up, then swap, then Repulse. That's hard to pull off without your opponent getting at least a piece or two out of range of the Repulse.

That is very true. Do have anything you would change about it and still keep the idea behind it?

If your decision on 1 Caamasi and 1 Rodian Diplomat based on thats what you have available, or was there a specific reason why your playing one of each? I'll assume the former, and not sugggest dropping the Caamasi for a Rodian.

Also, do you have a specific reason for Lobot other than Override? Id suggest dropping him for more swap fodder. If you do have more nobles, or some Rodian Brutes, those would be good.

Also, keep in mind the option of having the DW give Dash the Light Tutor. Giving him Force Renewal could make a big impact on your games. Re-rolling his misses evade or shot can be an important ability.

Lol Light Tutor doesnt grant Renewal.

As for the squad, I like the use of Fringe for Kota's CE, often people dont use it which is a waste.

I concur that dropping Lobot for more filler is a good idea. I would drop the Camaasi and Lobot for a few Rodian Brutes and maybe a Kel Dor, Kota bombs with an extra 40 damage can be brutal, and you get some strafe protection.
