....but it might work.

I was playing around with an idea that I've had ever since seeing General Solo. I wanted him, Ferus and Yoda of Dagobah to be in a squad together. The main idea is to have Ferus serve as bodyguard to General Solo since he will be light tutored by Yoda. The rest of the squad is synergy for Yoda, General Solo and Ferus.

--It's a Longshot--
49 General Solo
36 Yoda of Dagobah
27 Ferus Olin
23 Jarael
23 Jolee Bindo
21 Admiral Ackbar
8 Juno Eclipse
4 Mon Calamari Tech Specialist
3 Mouse Droid
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 11 activations)

Yoda, Jarael and Bindo will be pains to kill. Jarael will have a lot of force points to use and so will Bindo. Yoda will do what he does best and stun/alter as many times as he can. This leads to Ackbar being optimized since he will grant the +4 attack to people like Jarael and Ferus to damage people. The point with all the stunning is to make up for the lack of activations. This squad also relies on targets that will prove anoying if not dealt with (such as Juno with here disruptive). This squad doesn't have a ton of damage output initialy, but does in the long run, since stuff will prove hard to kill and Solo will be guarded by Ferus, who becomes insane btw as his HP dwindles down. With Yoda's LS 6, this also proves to be another big headache to the enemy. With those 6 FP and MotF 2 essentially to give to Jolee, Jarael, Ferus or Han, they become very hard to kill. Jolee has perfect synergy with Solo with his Avoid Defeat giving ample opportunity for Longshot to work. Jarael can tank damage and can do potential 60 dmg and shock people. Ferus can potentialy, with LS from Yoda, do an amazing 120 dmg per turn at +21 attack with longshot! Jolee bindo can also do 60 dmg a turn with Longshot. Solo becomes really good with his double Longhot +20 and accurate. Oh and Ferus, Jarael and Yoda all get the effects of Force Valor from Bindo. Recon from Ackbar will help also. Ackbar isn't to terribly necessary since he basically just boosts Jarael and Ferus, but in the end Recon does come in handy and any distractions are welcome in this type of squad. I can drop Ackbar if need be, but I like the things he brings to this squad.

Any suggestions on how to make this squad better?

Nice use of the new Han.

Yoda will not benefit from Bindo's Valor though as he is a Commander. He will be awesome though with Longshot and his MotF3!

I'd Drop Ackbar to try to work in another threat, With all the buffs your getting I think you might get more milage out of Luke Skywalker, Young Jedi, Yet another stunner with mind trick and I have always thought this was a very well costed piece. He could get pretty insane with all of those buffs also. Might also sub dodonna and a mouse in for juno and a mon cal.

I'd go with either Luke CotF or Luke Skywalker Jedi. Luke CotF with auto crits and longshot would be nasty, and Luke Jedi would give the option for djem so Long shots as he takes damage. I think either of those is a better bet than Jarael. She just gets eaten alive by shooters who base her, which makes her hard to play as an important damage dealer, rather than as cheap interference.

I would also drop Ackbar and Bindo. If you are going with Han, you need cost effective pieces with a lot of hps. Neither of those are particularly great at that. I do like the use of Yoda here with Ferus. Might as well make use of those FPs and Longshot with some higher hp beats. Shaak Ti JM would be a good option as well. Also, the Landspeeder and Snowspeeder should work well with Longshot, and all three are also well costed minis for the HPs and survivability, particularly the Landspeeder.

For example:
--Longshots--
49 General Solo
47 Shaak Ti, Jedi Master
36 Yoda of Dagobah
27 Ferus Olin
14 General Rieekan
9 Wookiee Commando
8 R2-D2
3 Mouse Droid
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(199pts. 10 activations)

How about using Anakin Force Spirit to haunt Han once he's been Light Tutored? Mettle will be handy for making those Longshots hit and also for re-rolling Evade saves, obviously.

1 Luke's Landspeeder
1 Yoda of Dagobah
1 General Rieekan
1 R2-D2 with Extended Sensor
1 Ferus Olin
1 Anakin Skywalker, Force Spirit
1 General Solo, Rebel
2 Ugnaught Demolitionist
