It's really nothing new, to be honest. Other than the Mouse Droids, the newest piece in the squad is all the way back from KOTOR. Most players know how to handle a squad like that pretty easily, and anybody with a bodyguard will have very little to fear from Boba. Boba Cannons have been run in various forms since the Bothan Noble came out in 2008. To my knowledge, no squad like that has ever come out on top at any major event. To some degree, I always feel like the Boba Cannon squads are entirely too predictable. You are forced to leave Boba exposed at the end of a round in most instances in order to use the Bothan Noble effectively, and with all the tricks that the Rebels have to offer now, those 62 points for Boba are just SO much better spent elsewhere. |
