Latest idea for using Kazdan. Once the Errata for Soresu Style Mastery goes into effect, Obi-Wan becomes the ultimate stall/interference piece while you work to build up some FPs with Kazdan. You do lose Quinlan Vos, so have to be more careful with Lobot's placement for getting Recon. I would likely bring in a Human BG or two the first time I get Lobot's reserves. If I get Droid Reserves on the very first round, might bring in a BG Droid and the BDO to help protect Lobot that way.
Kazdan becomes a 22 Defense and +16 attack with Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon becomes a 24 defense, 28 in cover, which means he'll last a lot longer before getting killed. That's why the Caamasi is in there, to run around near Qui-Gon and help him get the +4/+4 bonus.
I think the biggest issue with this squad is that it has no ranged threat until some reserves are rolled. Plenty of options after that point (Dash, IG-86's, Lando DS, etc.), but will rely mostly on Qui-Gon/GOWK for damage early in the game.
I'm not sure what map is going to be best for this squad. Something primed for Melee, obviously, so probably Train Station (with very careful play) or Ruined Base. I could see Rancor Pit doing OK as well, as even if you get the 'bad' side in terms of gambit, you'll likely be putting Qui-Gon/Caamasi out there anyways in the early rounds.
What do you think? Builds with Quinlan/Rex better than GOWK?
