Have an interesting idea of how to use Vader with the 181'st pilots.

--Imperial Might--
71 Darth Vader, Legacy of the Force
32 Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo)
60 181st Imperial Pilot x5
11 Admiral Ozzel
10 Jagged Fel
8 Probe Droid
5 Imperial Dignitary
3 Mouse Droid
(200pts. 12 activations)

This squad has the potential to be very deadly. Imperial 181'st pilots can fire 4 times at most, for 20 dmg a shot. And what is best of all, they will hardly ever miss! At +19 attack, they should find it easy to hit just about anything. With Ozzel, you can out activate your opponent and possibly get reinforcements with him. I'd bring in another 181'st pilot, a mouse droid and an Imp dignitary with the reserves. The probe droid hopefully will help with getting reserves, although I'm wondering if I should take it out and forget the whole idea about bringing reserves in. Vader can attack for an impressive +20 attack and tripple for 30 dmg. The imperial dignitary is useful for gambit points and interference.

Well, the Probe Droid CAN be used pretty effectively. Since you have Ozzel already anyways, and a decent # of activations, you may have matchups where you can wait until the very end of the round to move the Probe Droid out to get it's LOS. Then, as long as you don't roll two 1's (lol), when you win init with Master Tactician, then you can use your 1 activation to move the Probe Droid back into hiding. So, you can do that every other round. It's probably worth the 8 points I'd say.

Now, what I would definitely suggest though....Work in a Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo. The 181st already have Evade, and they get the Extra Attack from Vader, so with the TBSV you'll always be attacking with all 4 shots. Otherwise, you have to depend on Thrawn's swap to put them into position.

Lastly...you're going to need some door control For that reason alone I might consider dropping the Probe Droid to either add some Ugos, or put Mas instead and drop the Mouse Droid for an Ugo.

Looks great. Just a few adjustments. The recon thing might work with Ozzel but you really can't roll an 11 enough to make use of those 8 points. I think that going with Mas is a great way to go. Then drop the mouse droid for ugnaught and If it were my squad I would even drop a pilot and make room for 4 more ugnaughts. That may be a little to many but activations never hurt and now you are far from short of door control.

Totally forgot about the new TBSV! He does work wonders with the new Vader and 181'st pilots.

Revised squad:

--Imperial Might--
71 Darth Vader, Legacy of the Force
32 Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo)
18 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo
48 181st Imperial Pilot x4
11 Admiral Ozzel
10 Jagged Fel
3 Mouse Droid
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
(199pts. 12 activations)

I dropped a 181'st pilot, the imp dignitary and the probe droid. I decided a mouse droid was a cheaper way of using the cmdr effects in the squad, so I left the mouse in the squad and added some door control in the form of 2 uggies. The TBSV benifits from Vader and his jolt will work nicely with my squad. I wish there was a way to incorporate Mas Ameda into the squad. kinda wish Vader was cheaper.

Thanks guys for the help. :D

It looks like a fun squad, but its got some big problems. SS Commandos can completely shut it down, once you are forced to bring your Ugs to the front of the line.

I've been working on this:

52 Elite Rebel Commando x4
27 Luke, Rebel Commando
20 Princess Leia
18 Rebel Commando Strike Team Leader
18 R2 and 3P0
17 Bothan Noble x1
14 Gen. Riekeean
13 Kel Dor Bounty Hunter
09 General Dodonna
06 Mouse Droid x2
06 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

I have 16 acts. to your 11, and 5 characters that can really play havoc with your door control. And I don't even believe this to be the optimal build.

If you're going to go the Commando route, may as well be finding a way to work in Crix Madine.

Yeah, I thought about him, but I forgot to include him in that list. Oops.
