--Stalling Cannon--
45 Garm Bel Iblis
21 Admiral Ackbar
42 Hoth Trooper with Repeating Blaster Cannon x2
21 Rebel Captain
30 Rebel Troop Cart x2
17 Hoth Trooper Officer
9 General Dodonna
9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x5
(200pts. 14+ activations)

Bring in a Corsec Officer. Use Dodonna to outactivate the enemy then move the carts (with their cannons loaded) into range. You then unload 6 attacks with each Cannon at a +12 attack for 40 damage. That comes out to 12 attacks for a total of 480 damage at the end of a round. Too Gimmicky? Yes. Too much fun? YES.

I cannot wait to try this out. :D

As some one Who's had Just too much fun abusing the Hoth RBC/Cart combo,

it's actually very possible to slaugher with this combo with the right commanders and map choice.

Trick to keeping this thing going sick like, is to keep something to keep the targets from geting too close.

I find on most maps keeping a clear LOS while staying out of disruptive range isn't hard at all. Only on the really Melee friendly maps will this squad be well.. screwed.

Now as a total abuse of the combo.. yeah this is a real gimick abuse squad.

another good choice is the Rodanian Hunt master. As the HTRBC never moves technically, every shot it makes Will have dead-eye. so if you can wait till end of round try 6 attacks at +12 for 50 damage :D

6 attacks on a 21 point piece is simply insane.

What about Bothan Nobles  ? Or maybe Mon Calamari Tech Specialists with a Rebel Leader?

I think the Hoth Trooper Officer grants deadeye, I may be mistaken.

you are correct, *shrug* I over looked that. I was sure there was another effect out there that pumped the damage higher

If a MTCB is adjacent to the cart, does that even work for combining fire? Plus, Spotter would only help if the target is within 6, and if they're within 6, you're playing the squad wrong.

No, I think that he misunderstands spotter. The shooter doesn't have to be within 6, the spotter does, who cares if they kill off some MCTS. If they have added 20 or more damage then they did their dirty little job.

I played this sqaud on JC's Taris map over the weekend versus an accurate boba/ordo, gunslinger mando sqaud and got slaughter after my RTC/HTRBC's got their volley off. It was nice, but the hard part is their low attack doesn't get them boosted enough to deal damage if your die rolls suck too.

I did take Garm out and add in a Bothan, Leia of CC, Ghost Obi, Rauntaun and another Ugo, I think.

Map choice definitely is key.

It was a fun sqaud to run, something that may need practiced a bit more to be really effective.

Another thing that hurt the RTC was all the cover along the corridors of that map. It negated the ability of the RTC to move so far. It took me a bit to get down the hall way since I was on the narrow end of things.

I might be misunderstanding something, but what I was saying is that the MCTS has to be adjacent to the cart/cannon, AND has to be w/i 6 of target, so the cart/cannon would also have to be pretty close.

Then again, I rarely know what I'm talking about. I may be reading something wrong.

Yeah, it won't matter where the MCTS are, because the RTWRBC has Mounted Weapon, so you have to have a piece with Gunner in order to combine fire with it. :P

Yeah, that. What he said.

(I thought MCTS's had Gunner for some reason)

ok, so the rebel leader and MCTS idea does not flow at all. and this has probably maximized it's damage output.
