I wanted to try out a Thrawn swap with BS1 and an AT-ST as the base of the squad. I realy don't like 200, but I get to play so rarely I'll take what I can get. After the essentials I have 57 points left to fill. Aurra and the troopers was my first idea that I added just so I could post a full squad. I'm very open to suggestions for an alternate final 57 points. I'm planning to bring the Rancor Pit as my map. Thrawn gets me iniative and at 200 points I'm not too worried about door control. The place I play at is pretty laid back so maxed out activations aren't really needed either.

Blizzard Scout 1 (54)
AT-ST (44)
Thrawn (37)
Mas Amedda (8)
Aurra Sing (37)
Ugnaught Tech x2 (14)
Ugnaught Demolitionist x2 (6)

For the heck of saying i played it, my blizzard squad looks like this:

Bizzard 1
x2 ATSTs
Thrawn
Mas
(ug tech and 2 ugs) or (x4ugs)
200pts/8 activations or 199pts/9 activations

Running 3 ATSTs would be awesome. Dont know how competative it would be, but it would be lots of fun, especially with some well timed crits!

Another idea to go with only 2 ATSTs is:
BS1
ATST
Thrawn
Mas
Lando HoT (Helps techs avoid adjacent effects like Throw 5 or repulse)
Wicket
x5 caamasi or x3 ug techs and a caamasi.
You can either repair or run a Caamasi screen to keep Jedi off.

I completely forgot about the ug techs when I was thinking of possible repair options.

I think Boba Fett Enforcer would be a better option than aurra. You may want an Utapaun on Dactillion in your squad as well since it'd be a great figure for switching. :scoutT: :stormtrooper: :snowtroop: :vader:

I like Aurra better than Boba for this. My biggest worry with the AT-STs is a force user getting adjacent to them so they can ignore the DR10. Aurra's almost auto 30 against them seemed like a better choice thasn Boba.

The Caamasi should help with Jedi as well should you go that route.

How do you get these well timed crits?

I'm thinking about swaping out the RP Troopers for two Ugnaught Techs and 2 ugnaught demolitionists. I don't need the troops for swap fodder so the smaller based Ugs are fine. I can keep the 2 techs back with Thrawn so they can both repair whichever AT-ST needs it more. Downside is I lose the scrub killing capibility of the troopers and I'd be limiting myself to only 3 damage dealers.

B&B only has one damage dealer. ;)

You have three very beefy damage dealers. I wouldnt worry about it too much. Also with three of them it will be much harder for Jedi to chew through them.

Last chance for advice. I'll be pulling out the cards and minis for this tomorrow.

You have to flick the d20 at least 3 feet in the air without moving more than your wrist. Or you can try a blood pact, but I wouldn't recommend it.

If I'm going to make a blood pact for dice rolls I'd rather make my oppants dice roll badly than have mine roll good. Nothing like watching someone who only needs a 3 to hit roll 2 after 2 after 2.

Ended up going 2-1 with this. Loss was to a Holo Veers trooper squad.

Good Job, I like the Blizzard and ATST.

Glad it worked for you. :atst:
