When I pulled Yoda on Luke, I didn't like him. I think it is an awesome piece, but needs to be a figure that is built around, obviously because it is number one, expensive to feild, and number two, and it needs some support to be effective.

This is the newest installment of my forced oppoertunist squads. The general idea for all of these squads is to use a yoda of some sort to force your opponent to activatie, via stun, and then take advantage of that with oppertunist or other abilities. The other squads using this general idea are on my shoebox account in my sig. It's kinda like the "kick him while he's down" approch.

So here we go:

Loda 70 pts.
Han, Rougue 30 pts.
Princess Leia 20 pts.
WFF x2 28 pts.
Rauntaun 13 pts.
Wedge, Red 2 13 pts.
Junyo Eclipse 8 pts.
Caamasi Noble x3 15 pts. or 5 more ugnaughts
ugnaught 3 pts.

So 12 or 14 activations with 3 immune gambit collectors, or more door blowers

So basically use Han to cancel any master tactician or recon. Then you have some recon of your own, to take advantage of the initative. Han steps out with cunning to shoot, then moves back behind a wall or into cover. Then Loda uses his godly force stun to activate enemy beats nearby, and then attacks with his twin. Then after your opponent goes, move Leia up, attack, and use her CE on Loda, for another 50 damage. The wookies can follow and clean up, and Junyo can provide shots to take out scrubs, same with wedge. The nobles sit around and look pretty at gambit. :D

Another funny mini-stretegy is to sit in gambit with Loda and the nobles and make them shoot Loda. Forced reflect, anyone?

Comments are always welcome.

Umm....you don't have anybody in the squad with Opportunist....

I think you might find that a big Melee beatstick will give you a little bit of trouble, as Loda isn't quite as good against them.

And having the Rauntaun doesn't guarantee you win initiative. And if you are really hoping to make the most out of Loda's Stun, you really SHOULD have some Opportunist pieces in there.

What about something more like:

Loda
Han Stormtrooper
Lobot
Trooper on Tauntaun
Ayy Vida
Ithorian Commander
Aqualish Assassin x6

Lobot can bring more activations, or a BBSV or whatever you need. Now both Loda and Ayy Vida can cause people to activate (not to mention Ayy Vida does a crap load of damage). I know it's a completely different idea from what you started with, but it makes a LOT more use out of Stun.

I like the squad lobo. I was thinking about running aqualishes and an ithorian, but I felt like experimenting, so I threw in some cheap shooters and wookies. And the squad type usually does have some kind of figures with oppertunist.

Good point.
