My idea for an army... er, squad. Not exactly meta, but man would it be fun to play:

Kazdan Paratus - 55
R2, Astromech - 9
Quinlan Vos, Infiltrator - 34
Qui-Gon, JM - 35
Mon Mothma - 23
Rodian BSV - 24
Mas Amedda - 8
Ugnaught x4 - 12

Total: 200

Obviously, the point is to summon an army to help out Kaz and Company. On an initiative roll of 5, 10, 15, or 20, you get 30 points of droids, on an 11, 20 points of fringe, and on a 20, 20 points of Republic (so 20 is your magic number). Quinlan gives you two initiative rolls, Qui-Gon lets you reroll said initiative, Rodian protects all from accurate with Mas, Mon Mothma gives all death-attacks with Mas, and R2 does his normal thing. And you always have cool abilities like Droid Mark for extra protection and Qui-Gon's force spirit for extra force points.

The obvious problems being that this squad is based on probability going your way (and this is SWM remember), and those reserves count as points (right?). They just aren't going to do enough damage in the game to make up for their cost when you lose them. Then again, the options in this squad are quite literally endless. Bring in whatever you need to combat what your opponent throws at you. And you can have over a 50% chance of bringing in reserves every round when using Qui-Gon (still 44% with just recon alone, 25% without either).

I'd love to hear some other people's ideas as to making this a real threat. I'm not completely sure it is, as I feel no matter what you bring in, they will be more of a liability than a threat, but then again, maybe my ideas on what to bring in are rather limited.

What would you guys bring in? Thoughts?

Not a worry man.

I didnt figure you ever saw it anyway. Hence the "smiley".

Oh and to answer your question, the reserves do count as points for DCI format.

Gotcha. I saw the 100 point version with Quinlan and figured a 200 point with Mon Mothma and RBSV would be worth trying. Didn't know if it had been attempted. I know people have attempted multiple reinforement squads before, but Kazdan is the only fig that does it reliable enough to count on.

Thanks for the info!

If you can get ahead on points, you will be able to win on time alone. You will not even have to play slowly, you will have too many units to move.
