Marka Ragnos 76
The Huntress 38
Jaq 36
Lobot 27
Exar Kun, DFS 14
Wuher 9

Took 6th place with only 6 activations in my base squad.
Exar haunts The Huntress, making her very versatile at Range and in Melee. Sith Sorcery is awesome activation control, and his Melee Duelist is awesome up close.

What Lobot Reins were usually brought in? The usual suspects or something different?

Very refreshing to see that weenie spinning has finally been kicked in the sack.

Not really. Check the MI Regionals results. Top 4, all higher (but not super high) activation squads with major guns.

This is not disparaging Scott who played really well, or anyone else who ran beat sticks, but the fact remains that if you don't have a way to deal with higher activation squads, you won't win tough tournaments.

I was bringing in Ponda Boba and Salicious Crumb usually.

What about dropping Lobot and wuher for Momow and filler? Momows range on his warcry is pretty big. He could also be a decent piece to take attention off of huntress/ragnos/jaq

It doesn't help that the biggest tool for these type of squads isn't coming out until set 4. I do think I made a mistake in our game by not having Ragnos go after the Storm Commando, instead going after Piett. Again, to be fair, I did get some lucky rolls in the game, so who really knows. I also have to train myself in stalling for a turn or two, to get a decent pool of FPs for Sith Sorcery, which is my answer to higher activations most of the time.

As for Momaw in my base squad, not really sure about it. If anything, I would tweak down to a few more powerful figs in the 20-30 range, to make better use out of his CE, making it even more devastating. I also need to look at a few more options for Reinforcement. I do like the 60 HP bodyguard in Ponda Boba, and Salicious is a great fig to set up beatdowns.

In short, Marka Ragnos is a beast to go against, even when he is currently incomplete.

Thanks for posting your notes on this squad. This was one of my favorites that I saw in Michigan!
