The Ravens Brood
-----
Darth Revan [88]
Maris Brood [49]
Lobot [27]
Ugnaught Boss [15]
Ugnaught Demo. x7 [21]
-----
Total 200 w/ 12-17 activations

Brood is awesome with Repulse. What makes it even better? Chain exploding Ugnaughts! Using Revan's CE on Brood to move at the start of every round allows Brood to have a 12 square Repulse range. Can you say Uggie go BOOM? Haha, Lobot can bring in a Quarren, MTB (If you go up against Thrawn or Revan) or Wicket to help Maris' attack bonus.

This really is not a competitive build, however I think it could work against many things. The mass ugnaughts allow me to out activate and stay on the move and with careful positioning Push and Corruption could keep my enemies on their tows giving me an advantage.

What do you think?

I love it. Someone actually made a Raven squad I don't hate. Hmmm... is the world ending? Obviously lacks shooter support, but as a fun squad it's good.

I think it would work better as a 200 point squad, and what do you know?!? It's in the 200 forum ;)

I think you should use the other 50 points on, perhaps, Boba, Enforcer and Lando, DS and then a Gran. That will give you the shooter support you need and you still have plenty of activations.

Is it just me or does this squad cost 207?

Nah, I just put the total of 7 Uggies as 28 instead of 21. :D

Sure, I'm fine with that.

The only thing bad with your squad is Maris Brood, her meager +9 attack isn't going to hit much, even with Wicket. Her Push and Repulse are good, but that's only 20 damage. Consider finding an alternative.

Ignore adder... Ok not really, he is correct. However, with wicket maris has to roll a 10 to hit a charater with 23 defense; that means it is a 50/50 chance of hit. Which in my opinion is good.

Only a moron will let you just 'kill' him off. I am going to make you work to my advantage for that kill. :D

@adder

Maris is there for 2 things.

1) She is the detonator! With Intuition she can blow up multiple uggos easily.

2) She is perhaps the best melee fringe character in the game. Sure she only has a +9, but in this squad she has a 12 square range to get off '4' attacks. Suddenly that +9 is not so bad (especially when Wicket is behind her) This range can cut down shooters with ease. Against melee however you want to NOT run up and attack, but rather push and repulse their figures and manipulate their movement for your benefit. Whether that be pushing your opponent into base with Revan or to simply make that character away from you. She is so versitile against things it is hard to ever not justify using her.

I think your problem is that you don't abuse her FP's and you play her to aggressively like you would Mara or LV. She is not that style of piece.

You know what my problem is?
I don't play minis enough.
Besides, when have you seen me play Maris? I'm pretty sure I've only used her...twice? Yeah, only twice and I'm pretty sure you haven't been there.

I don't think playing minis enough is the issue. Who you play mini's against is the larger issue. You really don't learn much from winning games. Losing is a much better teacher.

Engineer is making an excellent point here. The best way to learn is to lose until you have the strategy to win.

That's true. My main opponent isn't necessarily the best.

Ouch. That hurt. Ok, not really. I know I'm not that awesome at miniatures.

I wasn't talking about you. In case you forgot I have a brother and happen to also have a map. He also plays SWM.

I'm sure you can read between the lines.
