By far the most corny name ever, but it made me have a laugh. The team isn't what you would call competitive, but I think if played very well it could have some potential for the less serious games. Revan can essentially master speed twice moving 18 squares, hit someone for 30(because of Bandon's CE), swap for Bane who doubles and benefits from Bandon's CE as well for 40+rage+Jedi Hunter for a whopping total of 60 a hit. Lobot would bring in a bunch most likely 3 mice, R7 astro, and an Ugnaught.

Thoughts on team?

You may be surprised at how well it could play. The only suggestion is to use Bane's Sith Sorcery over his others whenever possible.

Also don't forget to make use of Revan's Cunning. Being able to set up at the end of the round, win init with MT, and then Double with Cunning and Bandon's CE for 40 Damage a hit is quite hefty. Then again, as Sithborg brought up, Sith Sorcery is also an excellent option. You can choose to set up end of round, swap in Bane, win init, and Double while using Sith Sorcery twice if needed.

Yeah, I love his Sith Sorcery with MOTF2. When he's in the fray, it's better then Block/Deflect any day of the week, IMO. My 1 question is should I drop Bandon for Dash Rendar? The team is 2pts short so I could afford it, I just don't know if it's the right call.

the other option is Exar Kun over Bane.. that'll use up your 2 extra points!

Have the rules on speed boosting Force powers changed in the past couple of months or something? Last I knew, you couldnt use a speed boosting force powers didnt stack with themselves (so Revan couldnt Master Speed twice, but he could MS once and then move 2 extra squares once).

Anyway, squad looks pretty fun actually. Same with Exar, could be very fun.

Always knew Lobot was a bad guy.

Correct, you cannot use Master Speed twice. I missed that in the first post (tl;dr I guess)...

I did something similar in concept but instead of Bane, I used Freedon Nadd. This allowed me to put in a few more pieces. However, I cannot report results with it as I thought I had a tourny and it turned out to be next week.

In Bandon/Revan swap squads I've noticed that it is sometimes difficult for Bandon or mice to keep up with Revan (and therefor his swap target). Otherwise looks pretty solid.

Yeah, especially if you use Master Speed. That's why you should only expect to get Bandon's CE after the first real attack. Basically you have to let the Mice catch up, lol.

Freedon Nadd? Please tell me you mean Naga Sadow...

27 vs 19 extra points in support, I can see that. Nadd isn't too terrible, I was having some success with him last year.

Personally I just can't see how Nadd is ever useful. His CE is limited to range, unlike Malaks, he can't do much damage for someone of his cost, no way to shrug off damage, and his Force Powers are rather mediocre.

I can see an experienced player such as yourself using just about any piece to an effective degree, I just can't imagine Nadd ever being close to "good"...

In a squad like this one, Nadd could actually work pretty well. He has a mountain of HP and high defence and that +4 attack boost would be rather potent on a TBSV or Dash, both of which would absolutely love having a whole field of Sith Sorcery'd enemies to shoot at.

That's a fair point, I can see how Dash having 14 attack is a good thing. But I still have a hard time seeing Nadd doing that much damage to justify +4av for 1 piece. For 9 points more Naga is swinging for 50(save 16 for poison won't be made often) a hit, with Illusion, Sorcery, and MOTF2 to have an extra chance to activate enemies or keep himself safe. But keep in mind, Bane/Naga Sadow and Revan are the damage dealers, and Bandon and Dash are scrub killers.

In a different squad type with Nadd leading a bunch of Fringe pieces he could work better, but that would bring me back to the point that there is better pieces giving +4av(and more) to choose from... Kota, Malak are just the 2 that popped into my head. Or you can throw him with Krayt or Vader LOTF for Triple/Twin GMA.

9 acts with some heavy hitters in 200 is not bad (thinking about Gha + 4 mice as your reinforcements) but the squad will have serious problems against the tier-1 builds, primarily Lancer/Yobuck. Even some of the tier-2 builds are running the MTB again in swarms with big shooters + mass strike figs like the Lancer, so Revan's MT becomes worthless.

I would probably drop Bane, in all honesty, and just run more support pieces that can survive getting hit by the Lancer but can dish out damage on their own.

Naga is probably a better option with Revan than Nadd is. Using Nadd is pretty much a different squad type. With Bandon, I can see it, since Naga doesn't get screwed against Droids. Without him, he just cries to the 86, or even worse, the Mark II DD.

I'd love to see it in action. Blunt force trauma squads are my favorite.

I believe I got my Naga confused with my Nadd. I believe I meant Freedon Nadd as he has MotF2 and at least one defensive ability (Illusion). I would run him with Exar Kun, FS to augment his damage with Sith Rage, increase the save on Sith Sorcery with Dark Aura.

I would drop bane and through in naga and lando ds. Then use a r7 and four mice with lobot. That gives you ten activations. With master tac and sith sorcery you should be good. I think it is tier two almost tier one like that.
