15 acts can get 25 if you really want em but i think an extra IG-86 and 2 mice is the main reinforcements.

Bring in the Extra IG-86 if you need it or BG's or more mice. Use the Lancer to kill enemy fodder and get the activation lead. The Destoyer works really well with sideous to wheel form out 18 and shield the pawn damage then get 4 attacks at +14 on something. The destoyer is also pretty difficult to kill quickly if all your damage is in 20's. Then if you add in a BG it's staying power is pretty high.

Another option is to drop the Lancer and 2 mice for Sora. He is pretty sweet antimelee and could use sid's FP's for endless LS throws.

Looks like someone bought into my squad and Lancer support ideas :)

Nice squad, I enjoyed this version and the Sora version you mentioned in playtesting a great deal. Totally fun, and makes the DDs feel like they should have all along.

It's pretty easy to keep everyone within 6 of a mouse, or Whorm with 3 large base minis taking up space, none of which do you really want to get close to. Marginally save dependent squads, but they generally can last long enough to compete well with anything.

Yeah, I've always felt like the builds utilizing the Lancer as a close in defense piece were better overall, rather than as a deep strike piece. Less "all your eggs in one basket" feel to it then.

Yeah, you can still do a deep strike if you need to (and therefore your opponent still has to be careful), but the lancer makes a great deterrent for your opponent's melee figs who try to close in on your softies.

Yep, oddly, the worst match up for them, are the Lancer only squads. I've yet to beat one of those consistently, but you definitely do better against most squads with the Lancer as a defensive deterrent.

Played it for the first time yesterday and wouldnt you know it i went against Joruus and 3 kel dor's lol. I used the lancer to hold gambit and kill activations the whole game. I even got off a twin strafe and took ou 2 kel dor's.

The Power of the squad is Pawning the Destroyer. Pawn it and move 18 shield the damage and stick 80 on a piece. I have a 2 destroyer version but i like the lancer against Tempo to kill mouse droids, in this build you use it kind of how you use arica just kill as much as possible then die.

As far as sora goes im still not sure how strong that would be, this doesnt have any problems taking out most things the only benefit i could see is vs yobuck or a differant lancer. I'll keep playing it and see what happens :DDroid:

Yep thats the one i was talking about. Yours is much more defencive then mine. Sora is tough on shooters and on melee. And with 2 destroyers whatever they throw at one to kill it will get killed by the other.

There is a San Hill build here that i need to find that is probably awesome.

I don't see dropping Sid for Sora. IMO Sid is too good. Also why not Oom-9 instead of BDO (NM stupid sep droids) guess it helps to read the card

1x R7

Only prob I could see here is mandos and maybe the new vong if your saves aren't working

It would be really fun to add in a BD Sergeant to this squad, so that your Pawned DDII is doing 80 more dmg per round. It also makes a close-in Lancer strafe do 60dmg rather than 40. The BDS is hard to keep alive vs accurate shot, though, so it would depend on map and on your opponent not having accurate shooters.
